Process Engineer

The Process Engineer will be responsible for:
• Process optimization
• Process calculation
• Development project
• Site survey
• Pilot scale/plant trial
• Commissioning
Main duties:
• Perform optimization projects as identified by R&D Lead
• Study mass and energy balance of the process and submit for optimization projects
• Perform plant trial or pilot scale trial for development projects according to lab scale trial
• Operational support on process trouble shooting
• Commissioning and integrity testing of installed development projects
• Liaising with Marketing on customer’s request

• Bachelor of Chemical Engineering
• 3-5 years of experience in chemical engineering firm or chemical manufacturing industry is preferred
• Experience in working in technical development
• Commissioning/designing experience
• Experience in heavy metal processing is appreciated
• Familiar with PFD, P&IDs
• Excellent understanding of process flow and hydromet equipment
• Experienced in performing mass/energy balance
• Experience in pilot scale or plant trial is appreciated
• Familiar with SOP and site procedures
• Experienced working with chemical processes (hydrometallurgy is an advantage)
• Problem analysis
• Capable of prioritizing tasks and time management
• Strong reporting and computer skills, fluent in MS package
• Independent and self-initiator, capable of working with minimal supervision
