VAN THIEL & CO. is looking for a young and dynamic Private Chef to work in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
VAN THIEL & CO. is a leading creative source in the world, so we are looking for someone who can deliver beauty, elegance and culinary excellence combined with a top class presentation of food and table settings. We offer flexible hours and a highly competitive salary.
You will work 4-5 times a week, mainly lunch and dinner, and only on weekdays.
You will get the opportunity to learn about presentation, wine and international dining etiquette by working directly with our owners and our wonderful international creative team.
We give you the artistic freedom to create your own menu and dishes, working in fully equipped high-end kitchens.
You will work at the owner’s private residence and at VAN THIEL & CO.’s company headquarters at the Villa in Thao Dien.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Family dinner 3-4 times a week
- Customer dinner once a week
- Parties and buffets for +/- 20 guests once a month
- Company lunch for 25 people once a week
- Company parties for +/- 50 people once a month
- Plan a varied menu, ensuring that food is served fresh and on time
- Manage stock and ensure the kitchen is kept clean at all times
The ideal candidate MUST:
- Be passionate about good healthy food
- Cook with fresh locally grown products
- Be interested in gastronomy
- Have minimum 2 years of experience as a private chef or at a high-level restaurant
- Work well under pressure and have a calm and easygoing attitude
- Have a clean and organized approach
- Be flexible to travel
- Speak English (Vietnamese is a plus)
- Be discreet and trustworthy
