Preschool Academic Manager

The Preschool Academic Manager (PAM) is responsible for ensuring the ILA Preschool programme is in line with ILA quality standards and ILA’s 21st century learning vision. This is done by providing leadership and oversight in administering and coordinating the implementation of the curriculum, ensuring the care and welfare of students, responsible for the quality control and care of teachers and administrative staff, and ensuring the successful delivery of the ILA Preschool programme.

- Oversees the academic functions of the preschool, responsible for the day-to-day quality delivery of preschool programme.
- Manages and supports teachers and teaching assistants, and ensures that ILA offers a safe, inspiring and caring environment for children to develop and learn.
- Conducts tours in ILA; is the interface with parents.
- Responsible for marketing, admissions, facilities management, HR, non-academic recruitment, schedules of the nursery, operations policies and procedures, etc.
- Provides regular reports to the DDOS.
- Manages and tracks targets for admissions as well as maintains records of ILA’s larger community.
- Represents ILA and supports the Preschool Principal with communication for ILA with parents, the community, prospective parents as well as supporting the Preschool Principal liaise for all Government and Ministerial authorities.
- Ensures compliance with all laws and regulations relating to nurseries or early childhood education centers.
- Follows annual student targets for ILA and supports the Preschool Principal with the development and implementation of the marketing plan to ensure targets are met.
- Stays current on 21st century learning requirements and will make recommendations to DDOS to evolve ILA’s curriculum on an annual basis.
- Any other related duties as assigned by line manager.

Qualifications/ Educational Requirements:

- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills at Native Level English Speaker level.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Education in either Early Years or Primary Education. Preschool Management Certificate (as awarded by the Vietnamese government) is preferred.
- Minimum 4 years of teaching experience and experience as academic manager or senior management position.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as academic manager or senior academic management position which includes experience in leading, training and coaching colleagues, teachers, teaching assistants and academic support team.
