Pre-Sale Technical Support Engineer

Position Summary

Your role will be responsible for all aspects of engineering design, analysis and development of new and advanced solar systems. You will work closely with our global team, key customers and partners and with local certification and industry bodies.
The individual must be interested and able to work in a multi-national and cultural environment to draw on resources in other locations
The position will report directly to the Head of EPC.

JOB REQUIREMENT:

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Responsible for electrical design package (module to AC output, wiring, modelling, electronic protection circuits, wiring, j-boxes, maximum voltage, site performance etc…) using modelling software and analysing;
• Provide safe, timely and high quality PV module to systems designs utilizing state of the art modelling and design skills;
• Interface with local officials and utility engineers to design the best system configuration;  Maintain awareness of new product technology and communicate pertinent developments to colleagues;
• Interact with electricity utility companies and regulatory authorities with regard to solar PV projects;
• Plan and manage the logistics of supplying components for large solar PV projects;
• Follow systems performance in the field and report power variations and other parameters; Perform power and energy monitoring of large systems in the field and prepare summary reports.
• Perform other departmental duties as required

Must haves:
• Bachelor degree, preferred majors include electrical engineering, civil engineering
• A minimum of 3 years experience performing design of solar PV systems and products;
• Experienced with solar PV system design, inverters, wiring, grounding, utilities interface and performance monitoring. Experienced with Semiconductor technology desired;
• Technically proficient in the field of photovoltaic conversion, direct current circuits and protection designs with a working knowledge of solar PV system modelling;
• Familiar with international Standards for solar PV systems, and other relevant standards;
• Self-motivated, high energy, Original thinkers, with project management skills, able to succeed in a team environment, with imagination, creativity, and vision, able to assume increasing responsibility in a highly successful global organization;
• Solid general knowledge of computer technology and be proficient with 2D and 3D modelling software such as Solid-works, PV System, and AutoCAD; Inventor, Sketchup, helioscope.
• Have a passion for renewable energy and want to ensure a future for the environment. Overseas trips may be required for technical support, training and internal/external meetings;
• Dynamic work attitude with focus on getting things done.

Desirable:
• An interest in renewable energy
• Proficient with drawing skill- HELIOSCROPE
• Understanding major aspects of business administration

Workload:
You are required to work at least 40 hours a week with flexible hours and regular business trips to channel partners and construction sites across Vietnam & South East Asia on demand.
