Mô tả công việc

* Job Summary:
The PR & Communication Manager is responsible for managing Orbis’s branding, promotion, profiling and presence, including for specific programs and events; ensure a strong ongoing profile and presence for Orbis locally, nationally and internationally. This position also is expected to build and maintain strong relationships with external and internal stakeholders and contribute to Orbis’s short, medium and long-term growth by attracting support from governments, partners, and donors through events and other initiatives.

* Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategic and Planning Duties
• Assist Country Director in conducting analysis, stakeholder consultations to develop strategic plan that guides Orbis program activities in branding communication areas;
• Provide comments/recommendations on Orbis communication, branding and communication strategy;
• Contribute to the development of new projects for Orbis;
• Build ‘world-class’ communication approaches, systems and tools to connect internal audiences.
Branding:
• Develop and implement a comprehensive branding marketing plan that generally builds the Orbis’s brand, and enhances its profile, presence and reputation locally, nationally and internationally;
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with existing and potential stakeholders, media, donors, partners, sponsors and representatives of other external agencies;
• Supervise attribution guideline process to ensure activities funded by Orbis consistently following Orbis logo and name usage;
• Develop, provide guidelines and monitor implementation of policy, procedure and methodology of working with mass media and public;
• Ensure adherence to global brand guidelines in the country, in close collaboration with the Chief of Global Communications & Marketing;
• Participate in global communications conference calls to share updates with OI and other offices’ communications teams.
Communication
Media
• Maintain close relations with the local and international media, with rightful dissemination of information and stories, including features and press statements released by Orbis;
• Organize and monitor media and public relations, press releases, interview key staff and stakeholders, organize field trips to project sites for reporters when necessary;
• Initiate, propose and implement cooperation program with mass media, national TVs.
Publication
• Develop and execute PR communications programs and projects across the entire programs of Orbis;
• Create and develop of printings and online communication/marketing material, in collaboration with the team to obtain program objectives as well as brand goals;
• Support the management of social media channels, including website, social networks (e.g. Facebook), press releases, bylined articles, white papers, videos and other informational brochures;
• Compile, write, and edit stories for program reports and coordinate its production and dissemination with donors, and Orbis’s communication material;
• Establish a library (electronic or hard publication), of images, video and communication materials about the organization and projects/program/brands in collaboration with the global marketing and communications department;
• Ensure all communications are consistent with Orbis’s international brand guidelines and policies;
• Work with the program staff to manage the drafting of articles and reports on the status of major initiatives for dissemination with partners, , the general public, volunteer support groups, and special interest groups;
• Support and build the capacity of Program teams in developing high impact stories and materials for new proposals.
Event
• Plan and coordinate different types of events (Flying Eye Hospital, project launching ceremony, charity events, donor visits, etc.) geared towards enhancing the visibility and image of Orbis in the public.
Donor Relationship
• Create and coordinate corporate social responsibility events that help promote donor' reputations as socially responsible;
• Maintain appropriate communications and good relationships with the corporate sector, major donors, and potential contributors for Orbis;
• Manage and cultivate relationship with donors, providing a consistent quality of response to donors;
• Develop and maintain a database of donor contact records for partnership engagement and management;
• Develop a range of communication products for marketing corporate sponsorships.
Other duties
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

* Key Competencies:
• Extensive knowledge and hands-on experiences of the principles, practices and techniques of marketing and communication;
• Good knowledge of public health issues and health care system will be an advantage;
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to build, promote and maintain cooperation solid relationships with internal and external partners;
• Proven networking skills including wide network of government officials, NGOs, and academia;
• Excellent communications (oral & written English), presentation, interpersonal, influencing and negotiating skills for engaging with a wide variety of contacts;
• Ability to translate complex technical language and ideas into language easily comprehensible to non-specialists;
• Excellent organizational and co-ordinational skills;
• Ability to work effectively as a team member with a wide range of individuals, possibly across cultures and time zones;
• Be able to work co-operatively within diverse teams, work groups and across the organization to achieve group and organizational goals;
• Be able and willing to align one's own behavior with the needs, priorities and goals of the organization, including acting in accordance with organizational decisions and behaving with integrity;
• Sensitive and responsive to gender, ethnicity, disability and other core Orbis values.

* Required Skills and Experience
Education:
• Educated to degree level in a relevant field (e.g. Communication, Journalism, International Development; Politics, International Relations; Fundraising, or any related field). Master’s degree in a relevant field is desirable.
Experience and Skills
• A minimum of 10 years of experience of communications with a focus on major stakeholders, government relations, brand PR and internal communications;
• Must be a confident communicator and presenter;
• Strong event management skills;
• Strong writing, editing, proofreading, layout and design, professional printing/publishing skills are essential, including ability to present concepts verbally;
• Must possess excellent organizational and planning skills;
• Self - motivated with a positive and professional approach to management;
• Extensive contacts with, and possess expert understanding of Vietnam media community and how it operates/interacts with global media providers, with particular experience in creating and pitching stories successfully to those media contacts;
• Strong and consistent personal ethics and a high sense of integrity;
• Ability to travel up to 50%.
Language and communication:
• Excellent language skills in English and Vietnamese including the ability to compose, edit, analyses and report using complex information.
