Planning Manager

1. Planning manager Job Purposes
- Monitor a department or a project’s budget, inventory and schedule
- Create planning studies and generates reports about new programs, plans
- Manage all general planning issues for a department or project

2. Duties and responsibilities
This role is responsible for leading, developing and directing the planning function for design works of construction projects.
- Work independently under the general supervision of the Operations manager and Business Manager
- Sets goals, policies and procedures for general project management
- Project planning, schedule development and maintenance
- Develop Project Coordination Procedures
- Management of progress measurement system and reporting set-up and implementation.
- Progress/ performance evaluation and reporting
- Turn-around planning and scheduling and implementation/ monitoring
- Monitor project budget & project profit & lost
- Baseline management, resource loading and analysis, progress update
- Develop in conjunction with other Project Managers and Operations Manager a suitable Work Break-down Structure for the project
- Establish and agree the level and frequency of reporting required by the project
- Establish and communicate cost and schedule baselines and ensure control mechanisms are in place to monitor performance
- Review overall project status with the Project management team and recommend corrective action where necessary
- Ensure that all cost, planning and document control reports are prepared and issued in according with Project Coordination Procedures
- Liaise with all other Departments at all meetings relevant to project operations and ensure time and cost plans are updated to reflect latest information.

Job skills, requirements and qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction or comparable in required
- 7+ years’ experience in planning/ scheduling with strong competence in project management tool
