+JOB TITLE: Assistant Director of Banquet Sales
+DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
FINANCIAL RETURNS
• Develop deep understanding and knowledge of key sectors targeted by hotel, and gain sectorial/account expertise when necessary to maximise lead conversion rate
• Ensure the timely follow up and pursuit of business with customers and stakeholders in order to drive the highest levels of conversion
• Conduct and/or assist Sales team in customer negotiation process
• Conduct proposal negotiation process and assist Business Development team where necessary
• Handle contract signing process
• Updated lead status in relevant systems
• Maintain effective control of Team expenses
PEOPLE
• Team up with counterpart staff to deliver sector/customer specific services when appropriate
• Communicate to his/her superior any issues encountered and other relevant information
• Organise training sessions, daily briefings and other meetings as required
• Conduct periodic formal reviews with the team on their targets and goals
• Conduct Annual Performance reviews, set Key Performance Objectives and Personal Development plans in line with IHG standards and brand standards for each member of the team
• Recommend and/or initiate salary, disciplinary, or other staffing/human resource-related actions in accordance with hotel or company rules and policies
• Act as escalation point for clients and members of the Team when issues are not solved at a proper level
GUEST EXPERIENCE
• Process customer inquiry in accordance to specified service standards
• Develop and deliver relevant documentation to the customer (e.g. proposal, contract)
• Prepare and deliver site inspections, entertainment, familiarisations and other events for potential customers (when necessary); ensure all details of meetings and conventions are in compliance with hotel standards, including room set-ups, staging, lighting, audio-visual, traffic flow, menus, décor, entertainment, group room blocks, transportation, billing instructions and VIP services
RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS
• Identify operational problems that reduce the effectiveness of marketing activities and overall hotel sales performance and work with appropriate department on solutions
• Develop awareness and reputation of the hotel and the brand in the local community
Perform other duties as assigned.

Yêu cầu ứng viên
Degree or Diploma. A minimum of one year of relevant experience or equivalent work experience in team management, and 2 – 5 years of relevant experience in customer relations in Hospitality or a related service industry. Type and level of experience required may vary slightly based on size and complexity of operation.
Expected to possess the following skills:
• Experience and knowledge of establishing and mentoring an office based sales team
• Good communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to take initiative, meet deadlines and commitments, and complete tasks and projects as required.
• Strong organizing skills required to maintain electronic and paper filing systems
• A high level of knowledge pertaining to policy and procedure and communicates knowledge effectively to all personnel when applicable.
• Demonstrates clear and effective verbal and written skills for the purpose of obtaining and conveying information to clients, technicians, management and team members as well as producing reports
• Excellent PC skills (including MS Office)
