Payable Accountant

Payable Accountant will be responsible for accounts payable, accruals, prepaid, and credit cards. Additionally, He/she will assist with financial analysis and other close procedures as needed. This role will allow the individual to be exposed to a wide variety of portfolio companies. The individual selected for this position will work directly with Team Leader.

Expected duties are as below but not limited to:

- Enter invoices into accounting system for companies of responsibility, volume of 750 plus per month

- Prepare general ledger journal entries primarily related to AP, accrued expenses, Inventory, and credit cards

- Reconcile and balance general ledger accounts

- Balance sheet account responsibilities include AP, Accrueds, and Prepaids

- Prepare payments for AP on a weekly and ad hoc basis

- Communicate with vendors related to payment status

- Post monthly, quarterly and annual accruals

- Develop and implement accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures; recommending changes.

- Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data

- Travel to nearby banks to make payments, deposits, etc.

- Assist in the tracking and maintenance of insurance policies

- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance

- 3+ years’ relevant experience

- Detail oriented and ability to work independently and manage areas of responsibility

- One who consistently exhibits a positive attitude, unshakable integrity, ruthless persistence, ability to learn quickly and be fluent in English

- Strong accounting and financial analysis skills required

- Experience with Intacct cloud-based accounting system a plus
