Payable Accountant

*** Job summary:
Prepare payment for suppliers, taxes and staff domestically and overseas.
Deal with banks, Phu My Hung Corporation’s Finance Department regarding payment approval.
Communicate with suppliers for related account payable matters efficiently & effectively.

*** Essential duties and responsibilities:
• Prepare weekly and monthly payments
• Check invoice quantity and price etc. against Purchase Order (PO), Payment/Advance Request (PR/AR), contract and/or handover minute post the invoices daily in SUN system
• Work with Purchasing team and staff to solve the variances between invoices and PO/PR.
• Prepare salary, insurance, tax payment and reconcile to clear payables
• Deal with utilities companies in terms of contract renewal, utilities re-activation, VAT invoices printing
• Keep track of advances. Follow up with team to clear advance within 30 days
• Check and prepare supporting document for School credit card statement and prepare credit card top-up.
• Accrue monthly and yearly expense
• Print out bank details and filing bank advice after processing the payments
• Reconcile the balance between general ledger and sub-ledger AP accounts
• Confirm payables balance at year-end or ad hoc for suppliers following their request. Perform Account payable reconciliation between SSIS book and suppliers’ statement if there is any discrepancy.
• Prepare bank confirmation as per audit request
• Liaise with banks for loans and credit facilities, if any
• Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors regarding the statutory accounts and other statutory returns
• Go to Phu My Hung office for handover payments, red invoices collection
• Maintain good relationship with banks, tax authorities, Phu My Hung Corporation Finance Department, external auditors and suppliers
• Maintain effective relationship with faculty, students and colleagues.
• Perform other duties given by the Chief Accountant and Business Manager.

*** Knowledge, Education and Experience:
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting, IFRS and VAS knowledge
- At least 4 years at the same position, preferably at educational organization
- Experience in accounting software products such as SAP, SUN and Microsoft Office

*** Skills:
- Competency in MS applications: Word, Excel, Access
- Good command of English
- Good written and communication skills
- Team work, time management and problem solving skills
