*JOB PURPOSE SUMMARY:
The job holder is responsible to develop, monitor and evaluate appropriate tactics for supporter development and corporates partnership development programmes in Vietnam:
- Participates in developing and managing a comprehensive, growing and sustainable fundraising programme to generate net income and increase the base of regular supporters targeting Vietnamese individuals and corporates
- Raises the profile of ActionAid Vietnam among the general public with a view to increasing brand recognition
*AUTHORITY:
- Has authority to require stakeholders and staff to comply with Child Sponsorship Policy and Child Protection Policy
- Has rights to request stakeholders and relevant staff to supply sufficient information, prepare proposals and reports following sponsors’ requirements of quality, format and deadline
- Has right to guide and assign tasks to Supporter Care Volunteers
*MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
1. Participates in developing strategy and plan for supporter recruitment programme:
- AAV’s target audience motivations and preferences are investigated to provide insight for strategy development of the supporter recruitment programme.
- The marketing strategy is well driven and AAV’s Child Sponsorship recruitment activities are developed into a focused integrated campaign to launch and expand the local fundraising programme.
- Detailed plan & budget for supporter recruitment activities are developed and
2. Be in charge of developing supporter marketing materials for supporter recruitment programme:
- Marketing materials are well designed, including leaflets, posters, flyers, newsletters, e-newsletter, video, selling kits, promotional products, etc.
- Liaison with graphic designers and printers is maintained to ensure that marketing products are produced in timely, quality, and cost-effective manners.
- Marketing materials are distributed in an effective manner to prospects, supporters, and relevant parities.
3. Takes day-to-day responsibility for the implementation of supporter recruitment programme:
- Necessary coordination is made across many internal teams (finance, programme, communication, LRPs, etc) for the operations and implementation of AAV’s Child Sponsorship.
- Close integration/partnership with corporate, media, digital, creative and telemarketing agencies are ensured and the agency work is delivered to brief, on time, and within agreed budget.
- Direct supervision and coordination are carried out to ensure the formation of recruitment sites and successful implementation of recruitment campaigns/events.
- Technical inputs are provided for handling sponsors queries and requirements.
- Targets of supporter recruitment and retention are achieved.
4. Involves in monitoring and evaluation of supporter development programme:
- Supporter recruitment activities are implemented as per the approved budget and in line with AAV’s commitment to AAI.
- Financial aspects of business case are monitored and evaluated to measure sales, income, expenditure, and ROI.
- Market reviews are well conducted to collect feedbacks from supporters and relevant stakeholders.
- Inputs/recommendations are provided to refine the business steps of supporter care and development.
- Recommendations are provided on future direction of supporter care services and supporter recruitment activities.
5. Donor influencing and servicing for Corporate partnership development:
- Meetings with donors are regularly arranged and conducted each year for donor influencing and building relationship.
- Proposals are prioritized, finalized, and sent to the donors each year.
- Fully researches and gathering information related are carried out to donors to ensure the quality of project proposals.
- Donor scoping is done per year, with new donors to Vietnam /ActionAid Vietnam identified.
- Sponsor/donor visits are well planned and organized.
- Sponsors/donors are ensured to satisfy with sponsorship activities carried out by AAV.
- Quality reports are submitted to sponsors and donors within the reporting deadlines and in accordance with sponsors’ and donors’ requirements.
- Contract value is well negotiated to ensure the compliance with AAV’s direction and priority.
6. Supports for AAV’s contract management and corporates partnership development:
- Coordination in implementation of AAI policies and guidelines related to the corporate partnership development is carried out.
- Supports for programme staff are provided to monitor and manages corporate partnership project implementation through the establishment and followed-up of project accountability systems.
- MOUs and contracts management are supported by setting up relations with Corporates and signing agreements for launching Supporter Development Programme in Vietnam.
7. Establishes strategic partnership with Corporate to solicit and diversify income sources:
- AAV's networks are developed at a senior level in the philanthropy and business sectors in order to increase awareness and visibility of AAV and its work and to open doors to new level supporters and influencers in the country.
8. Coordinates and provides capacity building on Supporter Care and Corporate Partnership Development issues:
- AAV staff/volunteers and LRP partners have good understanding on Local Fundaising and Corporate Partnership mechanism, operational procedures, manuals and guidelines.
- Training modules are developed and updated for CPD teams on regular basis.
9. Promotes international networking with other Country Programmes (CPs) and Funding Affiliates (FAs):
- Participation in regional and international workshops and trainings are carried out.
- Information and ideas are shared with other CPs and FAs at regional and international level.
- Key lessons learnt from other CPs and FAs are shared and documented with fundraising team, functions and LRPs.
10. Supports the nationalization of ActionAid Vietnam:
- Participation in relevant tasks assigned is ensured to support the operation of the Aid for Social protection Program Foundation Vietnam (AFV), the strategic partner of AAV.
- Assistance is provided for the smooth transition of ActionAid Vietnam in the nationalization process.
11.Safety & Security:
- The Safety and Security Plan, Procedures and guideline by AAI and AAV are followed.
- The safety and security procedures for staff are implemented.
- Risks for staff safety and security are timely reported to Security Focal Person or Head of Department.
12. Others:
- Other tasks as assigned by line manager are well performed.

*QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Education (Degrees/certificates required) :
- University degree in social science, marketing, economic development or any relevant field
Work experience:
- At least 1 years relevant working experience in customer/supporter relation or marketing sector
Technical knowledge/skills :
- Ability to work to deadlines, under pressure, on own initiatives
- Solid understanding and experience in project management for an integrated marketing campaign, direct marketing
- Ability to build strong relationships, based on mutual respect and trust, and ensure that the relationship thrive under pressure
- Robust, confident, ‘can-do’ attitude that thrives on challenges and calm under pressure
- Proven experience of monitoring, reporting and forecasting against plans and budget
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical experience to clarify and resolve queries
- Relevant direct marketing experience
Language :
- Advanced level of English and Vietnamese
- A second language relevant to the country of work such as Spanish, Italian, Swedish, Greek, etc. is an advantage
