Operations QA Manager

Job summary
• To ensure the Company Operational Quality Assurance program is properly established, implemented, maintained and continually improved.
• To ensure the direction, delivery and effective management of the Company Quality Assurance department and its people.

Responsibilities and accountabilities
• Manage the risk-based audit program to provide an acceptable level of assurance of internal and external departments and functions.
• Ensure that all Company operating certificates, approvals and licences are current and renewed in a timely manner.
• Assess proposed ports and suppliers to ensure they have the appropriate internal systems, procedures, facilities, personnel and capability to ensure compliance with Company and regulatory requirements prior to commencing operations.
• Maintain adequate documentation and oversight of the Company quality management system to assure compliance with the requirements of the AOC.
• Support CAAV’s or other regulatory authority audits as they pertain to the airline operation.
• Ensure all suppliers are approved and controlled properly.
• Perform such other duties as assigned to him by the GMSQA.

• Extends to all functions and activities as delegated in writing.
• Financial
• Extends to those amounts defined in writing as allocated under the appropriate cost centre/budget.

• Extends to all written and verbal communication as they relate to areas of responsibility and as company regulations

Location: Tan Son Nhat International Airport

Reports to: General Manager Safety and Quality Asurance

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
1. Education level:
• University/College graduate;.
2. Specific requirements:
• Well developed communication, change management and project skills
• Experience in developing and managing quality management systems and audit programs.
• Lead Auditor qualifications, and extensive experience in conducting audits.
• Quality Investigator qualifications and extensive experience as a quality investigator.
• Experience in people management and achievement of measurable results.

Personal Specifications
• Strategic thinker and planner capable of operating under pressure in the aviation quality environment.
• Innovative team player, willing to challenge and debate issues then commit to implement optimum outcomes.
• Able to influence others.
• Ability to delegate appropriate authority and empower subordinates.
• Proactive and cooperative attitude.
• No criminal record.
