Operations Manager-Freight Forwarding

- Ensuring Service Excellence:
• Lead & manage OPS Dept. to achieve best-in-class Customer Service
• Actively build strong relationships with customers and gain an understanding of their business, service needs and desires
• Be the primary point of contact for customers

- OPS Dept Management:
• Day-to-day team management and spokesman of the Import/Export team and responsible for the team capacity management.
• Support and coach team members in their day-to-day job and be the point of contact for any operational issue quickly and effectively.
• Work on HQ/Network tender enquiries
• Ensure to control and solve issues/conflicts if any
• Ensure the ability to solve challenging logistics difficulty in Vietnam
• Support to and co-operate with Accounting Department on collecting credits and stop booking/operation for non-payment from customers
• Support the on-boarding of new team members.
• Report the result for the department performance

- Process execution:
• Ensure to complete the daily operation of department by instructing/supporting the staff and monitoring the progress of the operation
• Ensure to make/submit correct documents/data (shipping documents, customs documents, payment request, etc.) in time
• Adhere to processes in line with the agreed execution

- Business growth:
• Identify and execute up selling opportunities
• Driving value through the network

- Strong Ocean/Air end to end process knowledge & experience
- 5 years or above of experience in Freight Forwarding Operation or Customer Service will be a plus.
- Knowledge of Freight Forwarding, Logistics and Customs rules/ regulations/procedures
- Good people leadership/management skills
- Good interpersonal, communication and strong negotiating skills
- Ability to engage and link multiple parties across functions and geographies
- Ability to understand and interpret performance data
- Strong customer focus
- Works well under pressure
- Good at English
- Proficiency in computer skills
