Operational Risk Management Manager

The ORM Manager is responsible for aligning and establishing of existing ORM framework to ensure that business leaders and divisions are aware and responsive to the risk reviews and gaps; strictly following the policies and processes outlined by senior management, internal and regulatory compliances within the audit, legal and risk & compliance and/or other related functions.
1. Outsourcing and/or Vendor Risks Analysis and Assessment
 Reviews & provides feedback for outsourcing/vendor proposals, business’ risk assessments & outsourcing/procurement documentations.
 Provides independent risk assessment of the outsourcing process or vendor appointment process.
 Co-ordinates annual review of Outsourcing Service Providers/Key vendors with the business units.
2. Process OR Review
 Provides independent assessment of operational risks & adequacy of risk mitigations for new/variation of products & key processes.
 Escalates OR concerns and issues to Head of Risk Management & Compliance for attention.
3. ORM Owned Policies – Operational Risk, Outsourcing Risk Policies
 Develop and implement Policy/Review Policy annually/Handle queries on Policy
 OR Monitoring and Reporting to head of Risk & Compliance.
 Monitor and report loss incidents and OR related matters to HO
 Monitor and report major OR loss incidents, root causes, control lapse/gaps and preventive measures.
 Highlight specific operational areas of concern for immediate and urgent mitigation action to be taken.
 Prepare OR dashboard for loss incident reporting and key risk indicators monitoring.
 Report outcome of periodical risk and control self-assessment and scenario analysis.
 Report outcome of annual Outsourcing of Service Providers review.
4. KRI/RCSA/BCP/SA
 Facilitating BUs/SUs in implementing the KRI program
 Reviewing BUs/SUs KRI submissions and action plans, reporting (where appropriate) KRI exceptions and adverse trends that may potentially have a significant negative impact on the Bank’s overall operational risk profile to the relevant committee(s) (via management reports).
 Coordinate annual conduct of risk and control self-assessment (RCSA).
 Coordinate annual conduct of Control Self-assessment (CSA).
 Provide independent validation on the adequacy of Business Continuity Plans and Testing. (BCP)
5. Reporting
 Facilitate timely reporting on OR incidents to HO & IA.
 RCGC (Risk & Compliance Governance Committee) Secretariat Support.

Education/Qualification
• Graduate from University, subject in banking, finance are preferable
• Completion of advanced finance / management courses / CPA would be an advantage.
Experience
• At least 5 year experience in relation field
• Good communication in English
• Experience in compliance and operational risk management methodology and approach
Special Skills
• Knowledge and experience in Regulatory Compliance requirements related to Operational Risk & Outsourcing Risk is preferable
• Risk certification will be of added advantage.
• Previous experience in small team management.
• Strong ability to work in a team.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively deal with people from a wide diversity of culture and social environments.
• Sound analytical and problem solving skills.
