Nhân Viên Kế Hoạch Bãi/yard Planner

As part of our Operation Department, Cai Mep International Terminal is looking for a competent Yard Planner who will be responsible for controlling and planning the complete yard process in order to achieve maximum productivity and efficiency with due consideration to vessel and inter-modal operations.

Tasks:
The Yard Planner will be based in our Terminal located in Tan Thanh district, Ba Ria-Vung Tau province. This position is required to work in 12 hr shift (night & day shift). The Yard Planner reports to the Yard planner leader and is assigned to the following key tasks:

• Manage continuous process of yard integrity, while performing on-going space utilization analysis.
• Responsible on a daily basis for ensuring that the yard operation runs in a manner that achieves maximum productivity and efficiency, with 100% system integrity as it relates to equipment location.
• Provides strategic yard lay-out settings and maintains vessel library.
• Create and maintain a yard set up which supports the terminals productivity targets per qquay crane operation & truck turn-times.
• Ensure that equipment location information has 100% accuracy & integrity.
• Reduce redundant yard moves to less than 5 % of the total movement.
• Check and support an accurate and efficient information flow on the terminal related to all yard activities.
• In co-operation with other planning staff set the overall yard strategy by assigning flexible allocation per service.
• Control yard space allocation by service, nominated vessel, pod, equipment type, special handling (i.e. hazardous, temperature controlled etc.) for empty and loaded equipment.
• Monitor and fine-tune the terminal operating system in order to ensure that yard planning is satisfactory and meets the strategy requirements.
• Prepare the 'yard work plan' on a daily basis and communicate to relevant persons where the equipment has to be located.
• Prepare the work flow related to housekeeping, empty movement, corrections etc.
• Report on a weekly basis on the status of production, yard density, equipment utilization and strategy/allocation changes.
• Nominate empty equipment for shipment as directed by the concerned shipping line.

The ideal candidate possesses:
• College or University Degree in maritime, transportation and logistics operation, foreign trade, business administration, accounting or related fields
• Knowledge of terminal operation, yard lay out.
• Good analytical, planning, and organizing skills
• Good supervisory, problem solving and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently
• High proficiency in English both verbally and written
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
• Knowledge of computerized terminal operating system will be an advantage.
• 2 to 3 year working experience in port operation planning or cargo controlling or dispatching or shipping line and logistics company will be an advantage
