Multimedia Production Coordinator

THE ROLE

Multimedia Production Coordinator is responsible for communicating engaging news stories and other materials (in English and Vietnamese) to support the communications function for RMIT Vietnam.

The position involves producing multimedia products for a range of platforms including but not limited to RMIT Vietnam website, staff intranet, newsletters and social media sites, and supporting content management of digital assets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Produce multimedia products for website, intranet, electronic newsletters, email communications and social media channels. These may include but are not limited to video, photography, animation, infographics, GIFs, interactive graphics, and slideshows.
Responsible for all stages of multimedia content production from creative conception, planning, pre-production, production and post production.
Support content management of all digital assets.
Collaborate with team members and contributors across the university to develop story ideas.
Support Communications and Press Office to increase the prominence of multimedia content and its integration across communications channels.
Research and seek the latest and most appropriate digital communications tools to communicate RMIT Vietnam stories.

Others:
Attend University events and participate in communications projects as a photographer and videographer.
Perform other duties as required by the Communications Manager

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

A discipline relevant tertiary degree (eg. Digital Media, Design)
3-years of experience as visual storyteller in a communications or journalism environment
A portfolio of multimedia work containing items produced solely by the applicant (or where the applicant was the leader of the production team) which evidences a high level of ability to apply design and multimedia production skills to satisfy communications needs.
Skills: Photography skills, including photo editing. Videography skills. Website content management. Design skills for print and digital media, especially digital.
Ability to articulate creative ideas in a clear and concise manner.
Ability to work independently and show initiative.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise and work to tight deadlines.
Strong demonstrated ability to perform routine tasks with a high degree of accuracy and careful attention to detail.

ENGLISH PROFICIENCY REQUIREMENTS

If English is not your native language then you will be required to demonstrate a minimum English language proficiency standard at a BULATS Intermediate level (BULATS score 60), equivalent to IELTS (General) 6.0. RMIT Vietnam will require you to complete a BULATS test to assess your level of English before an offer of employment can be made.
