Microsoft Dynamics 365 Functional Consultant ( Temp 6 Months)

This role will focus on a combination of systems and accountancy-based work, exclusively around Microsoft Dynamics 365 and the Microsoft stack.
You will support the implementation of Dynamics 365, to ensure its successful delivery, efficiency and redesigning processes where necessary. As well as this, you will provide BAU support to the business and take the lead on training colleagues in D365. You will be involved in assisting users in accessing and utilising all financial performance reporting, budgeting and forecasting information.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
• To provide in-depth functional knowledge of the primarily Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Finance and Operations) application estate;
• Working with IT Business Analysts, evaluate business processes against D365 and related functionality, providing a functional and technical feedback loop to the Business Analysis function;
• Working with the development team, provide functional design and support on any new functionality or system enhancements, improving business processes and practices through the use of D365 and related applications;
• Implement customisation and configuration to the Dynamics F&O solution;
• Provide escalated support to the IT Service Desk on D365 BAU issues, environment monitoring and facilitating smooth day-to-day operations;
• Support the key-users in user acceptance testing;
• Assisting in the development of training material and training key-users and/or end-users;
• Assisting users in accessing and utilising all financial performance reporting, budgeting and forecasting information.

Essential criteria:
• You must have at least 3 years experience working with the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations ERP application (or Dynamics AX 2012 onwards);
• In depth and strong understanding of the Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations platform, project management, financial reporting, core modules and technologies;
• Experience in systems accounting;
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills as well as customer service skills;
• Experience in design, development and delivery experience across the Dynamics 365 landscape (historically Dynamics AX);
• Demonstrated technical aptitude for providing extraordinary customer service, influence and impact while problem solving;
• Can demonstrate extensive functional and technical experience in application support and supporting business-critical IT systems;
• Appreciation and familiarity of the wider Microsoft stack, how they integrate with Dynamics 365, how to use them to create powerful solutions and understand how they can bring business value (for example demonstratable evidence of PowerApps, Power BI, Common Data Services, Azure, Office 365 is strongly recommended);
• Intermediate MS Excel
• Demonstrable skills in facilitating workshops, gathering, documenting and translating requirements into business processes, stakeholder engagement, creative thinking, presentation and coaching;
• Results oriented and self-motivated to deliver with excellence.
• Excellent prioritising and organising skills

Advantageous skills:
• Experience in Microsoft SQL Server;
• Accountancy qualifications;
• Experience with development frameworks (SCRUM/Agile).
