[WHAT YOU WILL DO]

PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Manufacturing Engineer – Grade 2 position encompasses the duties of the position Manufacturing Engineer – Grade 1 with more responsibilities to support and improve production and the FPC Manufacturing and Quality departments. Tasks and duties will include additional duties to support and improve FPC operations, meet production schedules and deadlines, and assist with training Grade 1 engineer associates.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
– Ensure manufacturing lines are operational, functioning correctly, and properly maintained
– Solve day-to-day production, equipment, and process problems
– Write Engineering Change Orders for tooling, materials and process changes
– Maintain PLC tools and equipment to ensure proper operation and data collection for SPC
– Manage Non-Conforming List according to established criteria
– Design time studies to confirm routing, use results to improve process efficiencies
– Design of experiments of gages and other quality metrics
– Implement DFMEA and PFMEA to ensure proper manufacturing procedures and processes
– Implement tech transfers bassed on an established plan
– Assist sourcing of tools and equipment
– Design molds and encapsulation tools
– Design and maintain process routings, report and track inconsistencies
– Develop and update internal documentation including drawing, standard operating procedures, process specifications, video training and written documentation
– Respond to SPC process control alarms, then bring processing back into control
– Ensure ISO, CE, UL and other compliance requirements are being met
– Apply Lean and 6 Sigma as a Green Belt
– Training associates on various aspects of manufacturing processes and procedures
– Interface with other departments to improve capabilities and compliance
– Ensure compliance of safety the work and production environments
– Ability to travel to the US and to suppliers and customers for support

[WHAT YOU ARE GOOD AT]

EDUCATION:
– Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering (preferred)
– Other degrees would be considered, such as: Mechtronics, Electrical, Applied Physics
– 2 or more years work experience
– Six Sigma Green Belt

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:
The successful applicant will be proficient with the following:
– Computer aided 2D and 3D drawing knowledge, application and use of software – AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, equivalent
– Demonstrated ability with Microsoft Office products

Studied and demonstrate knowledge and understanding of:
– Programmable Logic Controllers understanding, application and programming
– Statistical process controls
– Software application programming in Microsoft technologies

– Analytical and able to troubleshoot complex technical issues
– Ability to work with minimal supervision
– Hard working and a team player
– Not afraid to ask questions and be open to learning new processes, skills
– Fluency in English and Vietnamese – spoken and written
– Good written and oral communication skills
