Merchandiser

1. Merchandiser is the main window, interface between Brand & Factory, responsible from Brand purchase order analysis to product shipment.
2. Coordination of designers from Brands and key suppliers to develop innovative and quality product and initiate handbag techpack design.
3. Work with Sample room, Product Development, Technician and Pattern team to analyse Techpack and BOM
4. Reflect the factory concern with the Brands to adjust Techpack and BOM
5. Work with trim vendors for development sampling and initial material costs
6. Manage sampling material order and provide material for sample room and pilot team
7. Work with IE team to measure labour timing and communicate any machinery/process issue
8. Manage costing; handling samples; tracking fit approvals; tracking labdips
9. Input BOM into ERP systems, ensure systems are updated with costs and details
10. Prepare sample schedule, pilot schedule and ensure information sharing across the factory
11. Monitoring, review and evaluate sampling performance
12. Follow up with Brands to update their change request across the factory, instruct other departments the specifications and instructions of buyer's orders clearly.
13. Maintain relationships and negotiations with new and existing vendors, suppliers
14. Manage wear-test samples and tailoring samples
15. Keep track of purchase order, factory request shipping date, production plan.
16. Manage of product development and order placement in efficient and effective manner
17. Work with Purchasing team, Production planning, Warehouse, Accounting, Shipping team to proceed the customers’ orders.
18. Work with Technical, QA and Mill management team to ensure all commercial decision and standards are met
19. Work with Mill management, QA and technical teams to resolve fabric or bag quality issues
20. Resolve issues within a timely manner while working to continuously improve and create internal and external processes and procedures

Knowledge, skills & abilities:
• Experience in sample development and with offshore production exposure is preferable
• Good written & spoken English
• Working experience in sizable handbag factory is preferable
• A team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to manage, motivate and develop others
• Strong planning and negotiation skills including the ability to influence at all levels
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Proficient in computing

Minimum educational level:
• Graduated in textile, merchandising, supply chain management, or related discipline
• Production exposure
