Merchandiser Garment Factory (100% Foreign Owned)

* GENERAL SUMMARY:
About the Function: You will be part of the sales team. The sales team is accountable for global customer relationships, performance as per sourcing strategy, strategic capacity planning and sales. The teams Strategic Sourcing, Product Development and customer service works to optimize the chances to get the orders from the overseas customers. You drive value added activities & innovation and improve our responsive capability to service our business better.
About the Team: The small sales team (4 people) is attracting new customers and works closely with the existing customers and translate their needs to the production team.
About the Role: The Merchandiser will be responsible for execution of development strategy, production and sales activities. S/he would be responsible of tracking the processes and timely delivery to meet the requested deadline & the quality expectations. S/he would additionally work to ensure that all commercial decisions and standards are met.

* ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Arrange sample development from A to Z
• Support and communicate with the sample/production team to achieve the best possible CMP and yield for our products
• Make sure that the bill of materials (BOM) are finished on time and keep them updated.
• Make sure that the Trim cards are finished on time and keep them updated.
• Continuously improve and create internal and external processes and procedures
• In charge of arranging the right sample materials/components for the sample team
• Translate the customer comments to the responsible team(s)
• In charge of having the samples shipped on time to our customers
• Participate in projects or carry out any other duties that may be outside the standard remit that will benefit the company
• Arrange project meetings in case of new developments
• Be sensitive and alert proactively on high risk potential order problem to ensure production on track through regular production meeting and cc mail.
• Resolve issues within a timely manner while working to continuously improve and create internal and external processes and procedures

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Knowledge, skills & abilities:
• Experience in sample development is preferable
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and technical garment knowledge is preferable
• Good written & spoken English
• Working experience in the garment manufacturing industry
• A team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to manage, motivate and develop others
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Experience with Microsoft office

2. Educational level:
• Higher Diploma in textile, merchandising or related discipline
• Preferable 3-5 Years of experience

3. Physical Requirements:
• Flexibility to travel to factory
