Mentor

Do you love helping others accomplish their goals? Do you dream of helping students find their next job? We are looking for mentors who want to share their skills with students.
We have a unique learning environment where our students both study hard and have fun: they are free to organize their own time between their projects, the many other activities they bring in (board & video games, music, dance) or the activities and events Intek put together for them.

* Your mission
As a mentor, your role would be to support and accompany students as they work on their projects. You'll score their work, following Intek gamified scoring guideline.

● Share (your knowledge): you'll have a clear and direct impact on the life of your students. For them, their education is a major life decision leading them to their next jobs and to their future. They'll be eternally grateful for the help you give them.
● Acquire (experience): mentors often say they learn a lot from their students. Mentoring isn't about imposing one's worldview on others. It's about knowledge, support, and listening. These are important skills to have!
● Enjoy (flexibility): mentors set their own schedules. You can have only one student to start and increase to 5, 10, or more later if you want. You can work where you want, anywhere in the world, as the whole gig takes place online.
● Willing to work (adaptability) on internal technical tasks to sharpen your skills while mentoring your students.

* You have 5-year experience in software development. You must be able to mentor on the following technical subjects:
● Programming language(s), e.g., Python, Go, Java, etc.;
● Database development, SQL. NoSQL is a plus;
● Client-server side model; serverless and/or microservices is a plus;
● Frontend and/or backend development.

* You must have the followings:
● Degree in computer science or strong professional experience in software development;
● Fluent English in a professional environment;
● Great communication and good listening
● Proactivity in supporting and sharing with teammates and students.
