Description of position
The Media Officer is responsible for coordinating the development and execution of ENV’s media campaigns and media partnership. This position entails responsibility for delivery of specific outputs and maintenance of ENV media profiles.
Main Responsibilities
1. Media campaigns
• Produce regular press releases and media statements on key issues in collaboration with other departments to Vietnamese audiences, especially journalists
• Follow up with key journalists for delivery of specific press releases and media statements
• Organize regular press and TV interviews to promote ENV messaging
• Coordinate ENV’s specific campaigns with the media, hosting press conferences and media workshops
2. Media partnership
• Maintain and develop key relation with the media to help expand ENV reach and deliver ENV messaging to the media and public, follow up with current media partners, explore and develop new partnership with new media partners
• Identify and follow up with key journalists for major wildlife events/ cases
• Promote ENV profile on the media, explore and develop new creative and innovative mechanisms to reach the media
3. Others
• Daily checking Google Alerts and various other resources to feed Communication team and all ENV staff about current wildlife news and events
• Work in close partnership with Communication team, International Communications Officer and Communications Team Leader, communicate and advise with if there is any issue
• Complete other duties and assignments as specified by senior manager and management board

Requirements
• College degree required
• Excellent Vietnamese writing and editing skills required
• Fluent verbal and written English
• Excellent communications skills
• Computer literacy: Word, Excel, Internet, viral communications, social media
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and pay strong attention to details
