Mechanical Design Engineer

his position will design and assist to coordinate the development of new products, new product features and new product extensions.
As a Mechanical Engineering, you will have the opportunity to work directly with multiple product platform teams and engineering departments. This position requires a self-starter that is motivated and willing to work cross-functionally to learn from different departments company-wide.
We are looking for both experienced and entry level applicants

Responsibilities:
• Generate multiple design concepts to solve design problems while working independently and within cross-functional teams.
• Present 3D design concepts for review.
• Create and manage engineering changes (ECs) to implement parts, assemblies, and bill of materials.
• Coordinate prototype orders with vendors and fabrication staff.
• Support of build activities. Hands-on involvement and desire to verify fit and function of design intent.
• Thorough knowledge of Mechanical codes
• Enhancements and cost reduction alternatives for hardware products
• Improve quality control processes and hardware testability
• Stabilize prototype to production development of new hardware products
• Improve lifetime of products through failure analysis and evolving environmental testing procedures
• Improve manufacturability and simplicity of hardware products
• Personal initiative; ability to drive projects through to completion.
• A growth mindset; a desire to learn and develop.
• Solid writing, presentation and verbal communication skills.
• Self-starter who is able to satisfy their goals and timelines.

• A bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant technical degree along with 2 years of supervisory experience is required for mechanical designers. Successful mechanical designers possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience designing industry-specific products
• 3D Solid Modeling experience
• Must be familiar with basic manufacturing techniques
