ABOUT VINUNIVERSITY
VinUniversity is a newly developed, private, non-profit university in Hanoi, Vietnam. It was established by Vingroup with a mission to be the first world-class, internationally accredited and recognized university in Vietnam. VinUniversity has two overarching goals: to excel in teaching and to produce graduates and research that contribute to developing the key economic sectors of Vietnam.

The formation of the VinUniversity Project has resulted from the collaboration of Vingroup with Cornell University and the University of Pennsylvania. Cornell provides academic consulting on Management, Engineering, and Technology; and Penn focuses on the Health Sciences disciplines. Both Cornell University and the University of Pennsylvania are distinguished Ivy League institutions based in the United States of America. Cornell is involved in every aspect of the development of VinUniversity from infrastructure and campus planning to curriculum development and faculty hiring. Cornell’s SC Johnson College of Business is providing extensive academic advisement in a variety of areas, drawing from a wealth of faculty expertise at multiple colleges and units at Cornell University. Penn’s medical and nursing schools are functioning in a similar fashion to guide the formation of health science education at VinUniversity and to interface with Vinmec, Vingroup’s outstanding health system, which currently encompasses 7 hospitals throughout Vietnam. VinUniversity aims to meet the 5-star rating standards of QS Stars and will include the following colleges within the University: a College of Business (including Hospitality and Real Estate); a College of Engineering and Computer Science; and a College of Health Sciences. The University will be an English Medium Instruction (EMI) institution and plans to open for the inaugural class of students in Fall 2020.

ABOUT VINGROUP

THE OPPORTUNITY
Marketing & Communication Senior Manager provides leadership and expertise in strategic communications and branding to raise the visibility of the VinUniversity as a world-class university. The Marketing & Communication Senior Manager will participate in designing how to tell the stories and show the impact of VinUni research, education and outreach through a digital-first strategy that leverages VinUni partnerships and news media to reach key audiences, which include current and prospective students, faculty and staff, alumni, industrial employers, and other partners.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Develop Marketing and Communications/Branding plan for VinUni in line with VinUni overall strategy. Strategic plans should ensure that the brand is highly visible and valued globally by prospective students, alumni, current students, corporations, faculty, staff, media, and others.
- Develop and foster an integrated marketing and communications plan for educational programs for the colleges and execute them. Plans will support the programs and school in achieving its goals of selectivity and yield of students and the engagement of recruiters and companies.
- Design marketing and communications content and leverages the media channels to enhance the academics reputation of the school through strategic media relations activities that promote research, academic programs, and news to multiple audiences.
- Develop key performance metrics for programs and continuously measure the effectiveness of the integrated marketing strategy, initiating changes where necessary.
- Oversee the Creative resource: creating an online portal; brand templates toolkit and finding and managing external suppliers as well as overseeing major production (e.g. video, photography – image library).
- Provide relevant marketing insight, including customer behavioral insight and competitor activity to enable effective portfolio development, brand development, entry criteria, and benchmarking to improve student recruitment and reputation.
- Work closely with admissions teams and program directors.
- Maintain effective internal communications to ensure that all relevant VinUni functions are kept informed of marketing objectives.

Yêu cầu ứng viên

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
- Bachelor or higher degree in marketing or communication-related fields
- At least 5 years of experience as a Marketing/Communications Manager. Preferable in the Education and Training sector with strong content marketing skills.
- A track record of successfully pitching stories to external media is preferred.
- Proficiency in content management. Understand content marketing tactics such as SEO, digital advertising and social media marketing.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and the ability to project a strong positive image of the University with parents, students, faculty, staff, and others are required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.

ENGLISH PROFICIENCY
English is the language of teaching and communication at VinUniversity. For this role, the candidate needs to have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. The minimum requirement is IELTS (Academic) with a score of at least 7.0.

WORK PERMIT
All foreign employees must adhere to the requirements for obtaining a valid visa and work permit in Vietnam. These requirements are mandated by the Government and maybe over and above the mandatory requirements and key selection criteria. Work permit requirements are subject to change.
Vin University accepts zero tolerance to non-adherence to the immigration laws of Vietnam.

COMPENSATION
The salary and benefits are competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
