MES Consultant

The Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) Consultant will focus on providing consulting services for our clients in the electronics and automotive industries. The MES consultant will work on project teams to assist with the implementation or support of MES and is expected to perform various roles in the software development lifecycle, including programming, project management, software validation and unit testing. In addition, this role requires close interaction with clients and the ability to work and communicate with both team members and external stakeholders.


Requirements:

• Strong background in computer programming and familiarity with MES software packages such as Camstar, SIMATIC IT or Apriso
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area such as Operations, Computer Science, Engineering or Business Administration
• Understanding of the software development life cycle and familiarity with the various phases such as gathering user requirements, developing software code and/or executing test protocol
• Experience in SCADA/OPC-UA - MES-MuleSoft-ERP Integration is considered an advantage

Responsibilities:

• Direct communication and interactions with customers.
• Documents key communications, status, plans, and commitments.
• Prepares material/hour effort estimates and supports new proposal efforts.
• Identify and execute change orders when required.
• Punctually communicates project progress, budgets, task disposition, etc to Management and customer.
• Distributes project communications to team, customer, and stakeholders.

General Skills:

• Education – Bachelor Degree in Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Engineering from a well-known University
• Analytical skills – Must have an analytical mindset to identify a user’s needs and to implement solutions to meet the needs
• Communication skills – Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Teamwork – Must be a team player. Ability to actively contribute from day one in a fast paced and evolving environment
• Time management – be able to work to business timelines and schedules, often working on multiple projects while ensuring the work produced meets best practices
