Manager - Technical Service & Development, Performance Materials

Technical services:
- Provide technical consultancy and supports to customers on product applications, trouble-shootings and handling complaints; Analyze and provide technical solutions to solve technical issues not related to material quality.
- Plan and direct the activities of the trials at the customers’ site.
- Evaluate and optimize the processing parameters; suggest mold improvement to optimize product quality.
- Support customers in setting right processing parameters and provide advise on optimization of tolling equipment.

Technical development:
- Collect market information (competitors, technical development trends, regulations, processing technologies etc.).
- Identify and develop new products/specific applications, evaluate product applications, define marketability, improvement and termination of the ineffective products.
- Maintain an up-to-date working / technology knowledge of newly-developed technologies and manufacturing practices; sharing them to the sales/marketing personnel so that they can define the opportunities for business development as well as to foster their technical expertise.

Product launch:
- Develop technical processes and procedures to ensure successful introduction of the defined products.
- Organize seminars and/or workshops to the target audience.

- Degree, in Chemistry or Commerce.
- Minimum 5 years experiences of technical services and technical development in the plastics and chemical industries.
- Good knowledge of engineering plastics / TPU technical know-how and applications as well as plastics parts and components manufacturing.
- Good English and computer skills (MS. Office). Able to converse in Chinese is a plus.
