Department : Talent Development & Engagement
Reporting Manager Title: Head of Talent Development & Engagement

Job Purpose
This role is designed to work in partnership with leaders in Sun Life Vietnam and Sun Life Financials to design
and implementation of programs and interventions in specialized areas within Talents & Organization Development – Talent Acquisition, Talent Management and Talent Development. Provide relevant consultancy to designated functions/ department on the appropriate HR solutions in meeting business needs.

Major Accountabilities
1. Talent development:
- Support SLV Head of Talent Development & Engagement in designing and implementing programs,
interventions for developing talents.
- Coordinate with CHRO, Head of Organization Development, Asia, SLV HR Partners and leader on key
talents development processes such as talent review and succession planning, high potential identification,
development planning and leadership potential forecast.
- Facilitate the discussion with leaders on priority on development needs as point of entry for revamping
our development framework / programs.
- Facilitate / conduct leadership learning programs for our leaders and / or sourcing external trainers /
consultants for providing relevant learning solutions as appropriate
- Develop relationship with internal / external stakeholders to identify emerging needs and tools for
building internal bench strength
- Co-facilitate global Leadership Programs with Talent Development counterparts in other Asia countries as
peer coach.

2. Talent management:
- Support SLV Head of Talent Development & Engagement in designing and implementing programs,
interventions for managing talents on performance and creating the culture of coaching and regular
feedback.
- Coordinate with CHRO, SLV HR Partners and leader on key talents management processes such as
performance management and identification of skills / competency supply requirements and gaps as part
of “future focused” strategic workforce planning.

3. Talent acquisition:
- Support SLV Head of Talent Development & Engagement in designing and implementing programs,
interventions for assessment and onboarding.

4. Program effectiveness, continuous improvement & consultancy:
- Monitor the effectiveness of these programs to ensure investments are delivering value to the
organisation, using industry/ historical data, trends and benchmarks to facilitate continuous improvement
and effectiveness. Periodically reporting the talents metrics and scorecards to CHRO, VNET and Head of
Organization Development, Asia.
- Provide relevant consultancy to CHRO, VNET, designated functions/ department on the appropriate HR
solutions in meeting business needs.
- Develop communications plan to leaders and talents to improve the understanding and the satisfaction of
the talent programs.

5. Other HR projects or tasks as assigned.

Performance Indicators
Finance Metrics: Annual talent development budget, training budget.

Yêu cầu ứng viên

Specialized Knowledge/Skills
- Having knowledge and understanding of talent programs interventions and implementing best fit approaches, prefer in talent development.
- Basic understanding on Vietnam labor law;
- Good at influencing senior leaders and challenging the status quo
- Evidence of effective change management
- Strong proven facilitation and coaching skills preferable
- Proven ability to establish personal credibility quickly, demonstrate the organisation’s values and build trust with colleagues at all levels
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while working with ambiguity
- Well-developed written and oral communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in MS Office suite
- High energy, drive and resilience with demonstrable passion for effective people development and engagement
- High levels of emotional intelligence

Education and Experience
- University graduated is required;
- Preferred project management qualification
- Experience of embedding value and competency frameworks.
- Experience of managing third party suppliers delivering bespoke solutions
- Preferred operated successfully in cultures with financial discipline priority
- Preferred operating successfully with interdependent projects and priorities
- Preferred developed initiatives in a values based culture
