Our flagship campus will be located in Saigon Hi-Tech Park, in Ho Chi Minh City (District 9). Until phase 1 of campus construction is completed in Summer 2022, we are located at Crescent Plaza, Tan Phu, in Ho Chi Minh City (District 7).

We are seeking a Manager of Compensation, Benefits and HR Services (“HRM”) who will be focusing on compensation and benefits; compliance and reporting; and employee relations. The position will report to the Director of Human Resources.

Scope of Work

Joining us as an HRM, you will contribute to the development of and be responsible for implementing and administering compensation and benefits policies; maximizing the effectiveness of our HR Information System (“HRIS”) and minimizing manual processes; ensuring the university’s adherence to labor laws, personal income tax regulations and in-house policies; and participating in a range of activities related to employee relations and staffing functions.

Roles and Responsibilities

The HRM’s duties and responsibilities include:

1. Compensation and benefits (“C&B”)
• Manage payroll-related activities in compliance with statutory requirements and the university’s policies and frameworks
• Administer various benefit schemes as approved and introduced by the leadership
• Conduct market trend analysis, analyze salary survey’s results and review best practices in C&B to ensure successful execution of HR initiatives, and contribute to the development of compensation strategies
• Deliver benefit orientation to new joiners, and existing employees as and when required
• Support and provide information to relevant people in the events of audits, checks and controls following a proper authorization
• Other C&B related tasks arisen from time to time

2. Compliance and reporting
• Organize an effective filing system and adhere to the university’s requirements on compliance
• Review incoming inquiries and requests from internal and external parties in respect of various HR information and provide accurate and complete responses as appropriate on a timely basis
• Process and/or oversee HRIS transactions related to the employee life cycle including (but not limited to) onboarding, job changes, promotions and terminations; and generate needed outputs such as contracts, statutory reports and management reports
• Work closely with IT department and vendor to build, operate and maintain an effective HRIS, specifically, personnel data, payroll, leave management, employee self-service modules; and fully utilize the HRIS to the university’s advantage
• Continuously review HR processes, systems and procedures to ensure that they are up to date, relevant to faculty and staff’s needs and cost effective

3. Employee relations
• Coordinate a full spectrum of HR services for employees from their employment confirming date to their contract end such as contracting, initial registrations, change updating, and coordinating exit procedures
• Be responsible for annual performance review process for all units including, but not limited to, establishing schedule, following up on the progress, and preparing reports, and incorporate the performance review results into salary review
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of relevant laws and regulations (e.g. labor, personal income tax, statutory insurance, trade union, etc.), partner with in-house legal counsel and be able to address various questions/concerns from management and employees in an accurate and timely manner
• Ensure accurate, up-to-date and easily accessible HR information on all appropriate platforms
• Contribute to the development of various HR solutions as and when required

- Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all situations
- Contribute to team effort by welcoming new and different work requirements; explore new opportunities to enhance the services of the department; help others accomplish related job results as and where needed.

Qualifications

Education
• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Law or other related programs
Experience
• Minimum five years of experience working in C&B (including operating an HRIS), or as an HR generalist (with working experience with an HRIS) at foreign-owned organization(s)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Proficiency in both English (IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL iBT 80 at least) and Vietnamese languages
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and advanced knowledge of Excel
• Strong knowledge of Vietnamese labor code, personal income tax regulations and statutory insurance laws and their application at work
• Result-oriented individual, self-motivated and self-starter with a focus on team goals
• Experience building and improving workplace policies and practices
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently, prioritize accordingly and maintain exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to track and analyze data and report data in a clear, organized format
• Value and commit to integrity and confidentiality
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills, including tact, discretion, empathy and cooperation.
