Machine Department Manager

JOB DISCRIPTION

Mission:

Using their leadership, skills and business acumen to ensure production plan is full achieved on time and compliance with legal requirements, meeting safety, quality, cost and environment need. Empower people to motivate and develop their capability. Align and involved all the relevant functions. Drive continuous improvement to produce product at optimal cost.

Objective measures of success:

● Achieve "zero" accidents
● Achieve high productivity of production.
● Achieve Detailed Production Plan targets in terms of schedule, quality, cost.
● Achieve and sustain effective communication with and motivation of shop floor
● Provide guidance and direction to the Laser, Printing, Die-Cutting floor personnel.
● Communicate clear expectations to machine department personnel and keep them informed of matters pertaining to their job.
● Accomplish manufacturing results by communicating expectations, planning, monitoring and appraising job results.
● Coach, counsel and discipline employees as needed to ensure compliance with our procedures and policies.
● Develop and maintain training programs in conjunction with the Training Team to ensure that all personnel have the necessary skills to perform their duties safely and productively.
● Determine production priorities by reviewing order requirements and production schedules; analyzing equipment, materials, and employee availability;
● Monitor employee work performance relative to expectations and maintain material/workflow through the Laser floor.
● Oversee quality of work to make sure we meet the company’s quality standards.
● Evaluate and recommend changes to the layout and material workflow for increased throughput and productivity.
● Monitor and enforce work start, break, and stop times of the Laser floor personnel.
● Monitor and enforce cell phone prohibition of the laser floor personnel.
● Monitor tidiness of the workstations
● Fill out maintenance requests as necessary.
● Lead the production floor personnel and maintain a positive work atmosphere.
● Assist other personnel as may be required for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.
● Position report to and works closely with the Production Director

REQUIREMENTS

Position specific:

Bachelor degree in technical field.
At least 3 experience years in management ( at least 100 employees)
♥ Technical expertise: you has a strong experience in Manufacturing operations demonstrated capability to lead group of people.
♥ Management: You has ability to motivate, set priorities, result focus, lead people, develop people and practice what you Preach.
♥ Language: Fluent in Vietnamese and English
♥ Problem solving: You must be able to break a complex issue into its component parts and stage solutions over time focusing on 80/20 wins.
♥ Active communicator: You should actively communicate status, risks, difficulties, and wins to the rest of the team consistently in daily basics. You should be comfortable asking for help when you need it and helping others. Effective communication, presentation skills.
