DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategy Development:
• Support the Superintendent Logistics in developing and delivering logistics strategies that optimize costs in line with business strategy.
• Be up-to-date with Vietnam’s laws & regulations regarding importation, transport and taxation and proactively determine optimal solutions for the Company.
• Assist the Superintendent Logistics in preparing the annual business plan and budget for the SCM department.

Operations:
Inbound Logistics
• Manage of all general freight movements by air, road and sea.
• Ensure timely pick-up of shipments from the origin with reference to INCO TERM’s.
• Lead the purchase order management team to ensure timely deliveries to site.
• Ensure customs clearance of shipments arrived at port is completed according to the set KPI’s.
• Ensure legal compliance on import and export shipments.
• Manage the local and International freight vendors as per the scope of work.
• Ensure timely reporting of freight status on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
• Ensure critical and project freight is managed in accordance with required expectations.
• Execute logistics operations under the preview of set processes.
• Ensure operations are executed at optimum costs which will include the implementation of consolidation strategies for inbound freight.
• Maintain and report KPI’s for the section.
• Review and report Vendor KPI’s.
• Review vendor invoices in accordance with contract schedules.
• Establish key relationships with Vietnamese Customs Department.
• Maintain and update contact lists pertaining to transport and logistics providers.
• Liaise and provide assistance to other departments regarding customs and duty issues on import and export goods.

Product Logistics
• Responsible for all logistics activities at site (re-agent transfer, project movements, equipment planning and allocation).
• Ensure coordination with sales team for all export schedules and meet all the deadlines.
• Ensure route surveys for transport routes are up to date.
• Ensure payload optimization per truck to achieve cost savings.
• Review product packaging on regular basis to achieve optimum dispatch per container or per truck.
• Ensure all site movements are done safely in line with approved job safe analysis procedures.
• Manage the logistics vendor as per the scope of work.
• Ensure timely reporting of the section according to set standards.
• Review vendor invoices in accordance with contract schedules.
• Maintain and update contact lists pertaining to transport and logistics providers.
• Responsible for maintaining lease vehicle/equipment database.
• Coordination and inspection of lease vehicles/equipment.
• Maintain vehicle/equipment specification listings

People Development
• Coach and provide direction & supervision to Logistics teams.
• Ensure any company policy, processes, systems, and industry related training is delivered to all direct subordinates as needed.
• Develop performance targets for each team member which are aligned with Company and Supply Chain department objectives. Ensure performance is monitored and team is regularly assessed and coached.


Others
• Ad-hoc duties required by Regional Logistic Manager
• Others as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:


- 3-5 years with extensive experience leading in a fast - paced Logistics environment
- Strong leadership skills with extensive people management experience
- Must have sound knowledge of laws and regulations, in particular Vietnam customs and transport codes.
- Must have sound knowledge of logistics and service providers.
- University degree in Logistics/ Supply Chain Management/ Commerce
- Experience in ACCPAC is an advantage
- Fluent in English
