Logistics Executive Outbound

Position Reports to: Site Logistics Manager

Primary objective:
• Responsible for outbound logistics activities for Binh Duong factory and drive cost reduction, improve service levels and effective utilization of logistics resources. Implement Cluster’s logistics priorities and initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Daily logistics operational monitoring:
• Manage the end-to-end export execution from EPZ (Export processing zone) to overseas, mainly to SAEA&O markets (South Asia, East Asia and Oceania)
• Perform overall shipment administrative with sufficient delivery status tracking, ensure shipment booking timeliness and documentation readiness and accuracy, follow up on duty and tax exemption/ waiver.
• Manage 3PL performance in transport and customs clearance
• Monitor correct and timely reporting of outbound KPI with regular KPI reviews with 3PLs and Market companies and work on improvement
• Control HTS assignment
• Manage relationship with business stakeholders and partners, both internal and external
• Resolve issues that might arise with shipments at warehouse/ port / customs / forwarding agents/authorities

Operational logistics optimization:

• Drive the expansion of WCM to attack Logistics losses (both in costs and service level)
• Work towards optimizing internal and outsourced resources to maximize short and midterm utilization and efficient usage of working capital.







Tactical logistics management:

• Proactively identify improvement opportunities and drive logistics activities for lowest possible total logistics cost and improved service level.
• Manage logistics suppliers / contracts (e.g., with transportation companies, forwarding agents, warehouses if any) in collaboration with Supplier Management

Governance and Relationship:

• Prepare and lead weekly, monthly and quarterly meetings both internally as well as with the Logistics companies [Freight forwarders].
• Track and initiate the right LSP [Logistics Service Providers] portfolio balancing towards governing as well as strengthening the relationship.

• Possess a minimum Degree in Logistics/Supply Chain or equivalent
• Strong interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skill
• More than 7 years of experience in freight forwarding and custom clearance in international companies is preferred
• Candidate with experience in both 3PL as well as customer side of logistics will have an added advantage
• Candidate who has working experience in cross cultural environment will be preferred
• Independent and result driven
• Candidate having track record and experience in driving logistics innovations, by engaging stakeholders with great attitude, shall be an added advantage
• Shortlisted candidate will be required to be travelling about 10% of the time
• Good English (both written and verbal)
