Logistics Executive

The Opportunity

As Logistics Executive, you will be totally responsible and accountable to manage service providers to ensure customs requirement and process are effective and accurate; monitor KPI’s and service level of service provider. Support Logistic Manager to ensure smooth logistics activity and meet business requirement.

The role is primarily responsible for but not limited to:
*Inbound Logistics Management
Manage forwarder service performance from customs clearance to shipment delivery accurately, timely and continuously reduce downtime during this process (including specific requirements for Food and Dairy Products).
Perform a range of activities to facilitate the timely & accurate declaration documents. Ensure correct shipping documents are issued and supplied, e.g. Certificates of Origins, Commercial Invoices, Packing list, Bill of Lading, etc…
Manage requirements from Customs in providing reports, cost structure verification, explanation… and resolve them in a reasonable period of time.
Support 3rd parties to research, identify and obtain permits, licenses and certificates that are required for customs and clearance.
Negotiate with shipping lines for soonest arrival schedule.
Calculate import duties, tariffs and VAT. Duties liquidation monitor.
All jobs related to other duties of import/export.
System update and maintenance.
Support other activities in logistics function, e.g.
Inventory management, billing, reporting.

*Inventory Management:
SAP System update for all stock movements
Monitor damaged goods arriving at warehouse and log in systems all complaint to suppliers
Manage and propose disposal of expired and damage products following disposal process
Conduct monthly stock count to make sure physical inventory matching with system record
Reconcile book to book inventory to make sure no stock discrepancy.

*Value added service support:
Support marketing team in marketing activities (sampling, packing, re-labelling, bundling…)
Monitor 3PL productivity in those activities
Ensure objectives are met, developed and track improvement action plans.

*Reverse Logistics:
Manage and follow up 3PLs on return & recall products.

To be considered for this role you should possess:

• At least 3 years of experience in logistics, custom clearance of FMCG companies
• Statistical ability
• Solid background in product compositions, tariff laws, Health and Safety codes and current customs requirements, warehouse operation
• Ability to build relationship with internal and external partners
• Good network and relationship with shipping lines
• The ability to work logically and systematically, with good time management
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills plus the ability to think laterally while also offering creative solutions
• Being flexible, commercially aware and able to manage change
• Fluency in English, with strong communication and presentation skills
• Fluency in computer skills
