Logistic Specialist

** Job Purpose:
• Logistics/customs specialist is in charge of Periodic data analysis and reporting upon requirements of procedures, KPI monitoring or other managing purposes.
• Implement and conduct enhanced activities and projects to improve Logistics operations, lower cost and wastes.
• Incorporating customs laws, processes, procedures and technology into the company’s operations, to ensure the company operates within the laws and regulations (especially in scope of EPZ), ensure smooth flow of materials to the plants and finished goods from the plants.

** Main Accountabilities:
• Responsible for process of certificate of ordinary country of origin.
• Responsible for liquidity report that require deep analysis in material flow from incoming until export to customers.
• Responsible for scrapping of raw materials and finished products.
• Develop, enhance and keep self-audits, contingency plans, workload reviews, customs procedures, job profiles and record keeping control.
• Monitor and report for department KPI: DO reliability, forwarder performance, customs adjustment…
• Implement customs processes, procedure and technology tools, incorporating best practices & modified appropriately for Vietnam.
• Develop, enhance Harmonized System Code determination process from purchase and import to sell and export.
• Work with operating units, other staffs, customs service providers, forwarders and carriers to assure the smooth flow of materials & components to the plants & finished goods from the plant, accuracy of relevant documents, on-time delivery and proper customs declaration; promptly escalate errors to certain levels.
• Support to manage and monitor the daily operation of ocean/ air freight, custom clearance activities, packing process.
• Freight cost handling: contacts with partners concerning transport logistics and freight as well as work with the accounting for the payment of the cost of delivery.
• Arrange improvement projects/ideas to improve logistics procedure: included shipping, compliance and warehouse.
• Other tasks as assigned by Logistics Section leader/ Manager.
• Instruction and training of employees to accomplish tasks.
• Monitoring and correcting the employee regarding the execution of their tasks.
• Collaborating with section leader/ manager in setting realistic and challenging operational goals, and contribute to their accomplishment.

** Key Performance Indicators:
• Compliance in customs procedure.
• Project tasks/Sub-project targets.
• Delivery on-time as requirement.

• BA, Major in Logistics/ Import-Export/ International Trade Management
• English Abilities (intermediately level).
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Logistics, Supply chain management, International Trade, or Import – Export.
• Experience with the Vietnamese customs import and export, especially in EPZ scope or manufactured for export scope.
• Experience in E-customs software VNACCSS.
• Experience in ordinary country of origin, FTA is an advantage.
• Experience on the job knowledge in manufacturing industry, Logistics processes, Customs and trading is requested.
• Thorough knowledge of Imports and Exports procedures.
• Thorough knowledge of procedures followed by Shipping line, Port authorities and other related agencies.
• In-depth knowledge of ERP-System.
• Computer skills: Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft applications: excel, access.

• Willing to support other when needed in achieve target, assignment, task.
• Communicate topics at the right time, express oneself in a manner that is appropriate and respectful.
• Ability to listen, request and accept feedback.
• Able to plan for the whole year (Budget, Activities) and organization the company activities in effective way (Planning, Activities, Budget, Content).

• Knowledge and experience in planning, organizing, scheduling, set priority, goal setting.
• Able to analysis the inventory report, all transactions of raw materials and finished goods via ERP and customs software.
• Search, require, implement innovations and optimizations, scrutinize existing processes etc.
• Manage change processes, demand changes, handle fears.
