Get to know the Role:
Grab is expanding from its traditional transportation application business into payments and financial services. The ideal candidate will have experience in these areas, and in particular in dealing with government regulators and negotiating contracts and governance documentation based on the specific requirements of commercial, payments and financial services businesses.
The day-to-day activities:
• Advising on payments and financial services regulatory licensing and compliance across business units, with an emphasis on areas related to money transmitter laws, the banking regulations, credit card association rules, and advertising, marketing, and consumer protection laws related to such products and services.
• Contract review and management
• Assisting in the development and maintenance of applicable compliance programs;
• Advising on and drafting applicable provisions of agreements with vendors, customers, partners, and consultants;
• Interfacing as necessary with other business support teams within the Group, such as finance, tax, accounting, and human resources;
• Cross-functional work to identify, analyze and mitigate issues related to the introduction of new financial services products and services whilst supporting Grab’s regional expansion;
• Researching legal issues and drafting memos as appropriate;
• Provide timely, concise and business-focused legal advice on financial services and payments laws and licensing requirements;
• Represent Grab’s interests and interface directly with regulatory agencies and external counsel, as appropriate;
• Supports Public Affairs in responding to relevant legislative and regulatory proposals.
• Instruct and manage external advisors and counsels, as necessary
• Providing legal and regulatory guidance on the products (design and modification), proactively identify associated risks and recommend mitigation strategies, review product user experiences to ensure legal compliance and proper disclosures.
• Working closely with (non-payments/financial services) regional and country legal teams on payments regulation and product design.
• Familiarity with the development and implementation of Anti-Money Laundering / Countering the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) related compliance requirements
• Supporting inter-department initiatives and devising of legally compliant financial services products.

Yêu cầu ứng viên
• Minimum of 5 years working experience in similar role.
• Overall knowledge of the general legal requirements of Grab businesses and investments.
• Proven experience as a legal counsel in business environment.
• Demonstrated ability to create legal defensive or proactive strategies.
• Outstanding communication skills.
• Experience in contract reviewing and drafting; and corporate matters.
• Solicitor admitted to practice in Vietnam
• Fluency in English and Vietnamese
• Corporate and regulatory experience in technology, payments and financial services legal practice
Workplace: Ho Chi Minh (District 7)
• Overall knowledge of the general legal requirements of Grab businesses and investments.
• Proven experience as a legal counsel in business environment.
