Legal and Compliance Manager

• Responsible for all legal & compliance issues for the company including corresponding with regulators, SBV, etc.
• To assess the impact of new/amended regulations on the business and to present to the Management appropriate steps that may be taken in countering the impact and/ meeting legal requirements.
• Review new product programs for compliance to regulatory and, where relevant, to internal policies; revise/update product programs and credit policies to ensure all are in compliance with Laws and company regulations.
• Legal training to staff when required to provide concerned people with updated knowledge of relevant legal issues.
• Monitor Company’s compliance with internal policies and applicable laws, regulations and guidelines, listing rules as well as corporate governance
• Drive the departments and business units in implementing effective internal controls and risk management framework and promote strong risk management and compliance culture.
• Liaise with regulators and local authorities on legal and compliance issues
• Prepare coordination with the Supervisory Committee and Board of Directors, etc., act as a Chief Compliance Officer
• Prepare and review contracts, agreements, official and legal documents to ensure their legal compliance.
• Coordinate and work closely with Dept Heads in proposing, outlining, and implementing corporate strategy & policy, compliance regulations and procedures.
• Proactively assist other departments to deal with relevant authorities, agencies, consultants to protect the company’s interest.
• Consult and provide other departments of legal advice when necessary.
• Undertake other assignments as delegated by CEO

▪ Tertiary qualification (holder Bachelor degree with major in Laws of Commerce)
▪ At least 5 years of experience in Legal & compliance practices preferably in finance & banking
▪ Strong experience in banks/financial/digital/consulting companies from 3 years
▪ Deep knowledge and experience of local legislation and practice (corporate and contract law, regulation in finance and digital industry, tax law, legislation about personal data protection,…)
▪ Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, and to provide commercial solutions-based legal services
▪ Proven hands-on experience in legal check, contracting, documentation for legal purposes, and profound understanding of compliance matters, SBV regulations, Law of Credit Institutions, etc. and relevant regulations
▪ Strong analytical, negotiation and presentation skills
▪ Ability to maintain confidentiality and a strong sense of responsibility and integrity
▪ Be mature, proactive, result-driven and professional
▪ Fluent in both spoken and written English
