REPORTING TO: Head TA/Learning Support Leader
JOB PURPOSE A Teaching Assistant is expected to promote the ethos of the school, by demonstrating a positive, tolerant and caring attitude to all children.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Class work:
1. Support of teaching and administrative staff at all times and in areas as requested:
- To take care of routine classroom jobs (sharpening pencils for young children, checking home/school diaries, making resources, etc.)
- To prepare materials and resources requested by the teacher
- To help the children set up for and clear up after lessons
- To encourage the children to keep the classroom tidy
- To put up displays of children’s work
- To escort sick children to the school nurse
- To assist the teacher with the supervision of children on trips
- To control the class in the absence of the teacher
- To cover for the teacher for short periods as necessary
- To work with and build relationships with Special Educational Needs (SEN/Additional Educational Needs (AEN) students and to help overcome barriers to learning
- To be familiar with SEN Pupil Profiles and individual targets
- To provide support for groups or individual students, within the classroom or in intervention groups, to enable better access to the curriculum and promote student progress
- To support teaching and learning provision provided for students with SEN/AEN ensuring an inclusive access to the curriculum
- To assist in the recording and reporting of student progress, development and provision.
Other Duties
- To supervise the children during break and lunch time as per the established rota.
- To participate in relevant training being provided in the school programme.
- To present a professional and welcoming image in the classroom and around the school.
- To liaise with, or translate for, parents as necessary to assist the teacher.
- Not to get drawn into conversations with parents regarding their child’s progress
- To participate in relevant training as provided in the school programme.
- To work at any of the campuses at the direction of the Principal or Headteacher.
- To act as a bus escort if requested by the Principal or Headteacher.
- The teaching assistant may be asked to do additional work by the Principal or Headteacher providing that work is consistent with the normal duties of a teaching assistant.

Yêu cầu ứng viên
- Vietnamese mother tongue.
- University graduate, Bachelor degree in Special Education is preferred.
- Experience as a teaching assistant or teacher
- Competent English speaker.
- Has the personality to work with and support children who have certain learning difficulties.
- Can work as part of a team.
WORKING TIME: 8:00 AM – 4:30PM; 5 days a week
DEADLINE OF APPLICATION: 15 Aug 2019
- University graduate, Bachelor degree in Special Education is preferred.
- Experience as a teaching assistant or teacher
