Lead React Native Mobile Engineer

Prophet is a sports betting marketplace that allows its users to buy and sell previously placed sports bets that have changed in value. Users can buy from others or sell their own existing bets. Prophet combines this unique marketplace offering this with educational tools and smart calculators, all in one centralized location. You can think of us as the eBay of sports betting.

As a React Native mobile engineer, you will be working with our UI developers, designers and backend engineers to create a next-generation mobile marketplace. If you never stop learning, can debug anything, and always find the most efficient way to solve a problem, we want to hear from you!

Our business and technology stack is financially focused and involves transacting and handling money on a daily basis. Previous experience working in a challenger bank, fintech company or a company that has dealt with financial ledgers, payments and escrow is highly valued.

This position is full-time, onsite in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

What you’ll be doing:
- Turning wireframes into reality for web and mobile/tablet projects.
- Building project structures and communicating them to your team.
- Working with UI, mobile, and backend teams to define and build next-generation reading experiences for a variety of devices.
- Working with the QC team to define performance criteria and metrics for measuring the success of new projects.

Your Required Experience:
- 4+ years experience with HTML5/CSS3/Javascript
- Experience with React Native or native mobile development
- In-market, production iOS or Android applications you can show us
- Excellent English communication skills, speaking and writing.
- Proficient with a CSS Preprocessor such as SASS or LESS
- Experience developing asynchronous web applications using Ajax
- Programming experience with Javascript framework (ReactJS, VueJS, …)
- Knowledge of the DOM HTML objects and their properties
- Excellent problem solving and debugging skills
- Comfortable working with existing code and writing code from scratch
- Familiarity with source control systems (Git or SVN) is preferred
- Experience in fintech, gaming, gambling or marketplaces is highly valued.
