Lead, Footwear Planning

Vietnam base, travel to various UA factory partners 2/26/2020

Key Responsibilities: ➢ To ensure that all footwear is bought, produced, shipped and delivered on time to service the customer. The footwear production planning manager coordinates sourcing, knit project, supply planning, capacity planning and procurement activities for UA and aligns these activities with calendar dates and corporate initiatives. ➢ Support the footwear team by continuously enhancing key performance indicators to ensure that products are delivered according to (or exceeding) customer expectations and with the best possible LO and factory performance. ➢ Work with HQ Production Planning, T1, T2/Knitters, and all other departments to continually improve the quality of communication (in regard to order confirmation, production and shipping arrangement) and provide efficient and effective solutions to the changing demands from the customers. ➢ Manage the open to buy process each month in tandem with HQ. This process involves validating the forecast, bookings and any outside the system requests to ensure that the proper volume and assortment is bought each month to coincide with order requested delivery dates. Must be able to make decisions according to each global market and process flow. ➢ Align global demand with factory capacity to appropriately build and deliver product, ➢ Manage contract purchase orders with the factories to pull forward production early without issuing a hard purchase order. This must be tracked monthly to ensure contracts are consumed by actual orders to the size level ➢ Working out Peak month for PMA for new tooling and ramp up plan for new styles ➢ Work closely with team members on continuous improvement tools.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

➢ Bachelor's degree preferably in business administration. Experience in Supply Planning and Logistics preferred. ➢ At least 7 years of relevant business experience, 2 of which at managerial level. ➢ Fluent English in both oral and written. ➢ IT knowledge

LANGUAGE SKILLS: ➢ Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. ➢ Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public. ➢ Fluent in speech and written skills in both Mandarin and English.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
➢ Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY: ➢ Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. ➢ Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.

➢ The employee will be required to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time. Trips to the United States and manufacturing facilities may be required.
