Lead Auditor

Basic Job Functions:
• Site Lead auditor, reporting to the Audit Manager, covering select business functions (e.g., Finance, Operations, Legal, etc. and as needed, Information Technology General Controls (ITGCs).
• Responsible for successfully leading financial, compliance and operational audits, providing independent, objective assurance and consulting services designed to add value and improve the operations of the organization.
• Proficient in understanding of audit concepts/methodology and business operations.
• Successfully and cooperatively operates in a multicultural and international environment.
• Self-motivated, self-sufficient, independent, and requires minimal level of supervision in conducting the various engagement phases of execution, documentation, and reporting.
• This role requires effective interaction with all levels of business process owners and key associates throughout the organization.
• Comfortable leading meetings with clients effectively communicating audit results and resolving differences of opinion/conflicts.
• Understands and adheres to the Company’s practices, policies, and culture.
• Comfortable leading audit engagements.
• Travel is estimate at approximately 35% per annum.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
• Develops and implements risk-based audit programs.
• Reviews or completes audit work papers, including financial, operational and compliance (e.g., Sarbanes-Oxley) testing and documentation, and develops meaningful coaching notes when appropriate (when acting as a reviewer).
• Leads assigned audits and completes audit engagements on time and with minimal need for supervision, reporting results of audit engagements to Audit Manager(s) and key customers in verbal and written formats.
• Comfortable leading meetings with clients (VPs and below) effectively communicating audit results and resolving differences of opinion/conflicts.
• Builds, maintains, and continually enhances working relationships within the organization.
• Works collaboratively with the audit team and key stakeholders to provide independent, objective assurance, and consulting services designed to add value and improve the operations of the organization.
• Assists management in the development of innovative, actionable, and cost-effective solutions to mitigate risk exposure and improve operating efficiencies.
• Performs other duties and special projects as requested by the Audit Committee and Senior Management.
• Critically assesses adequacy of corrective actions proposed by process owners, proactively providing insights and actionable recommendations.
• Supports teamwork and actively participates in the development of fellow auditors.

Experience:
• Minimum of 3 (three) to 5 (five) years of prior audit experience, preferably a combination of a well-established Internal Audit department of a multinational company, Big 4 CPA Firm, or business consulting firm.
• Excellent understanding of and direct experience with Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a business related field is required.
• At least one applicable professional certification required (e.g., CPA, CIA, and/or CISA).
• Advanced degree and other related certifications a plus (e.g., MBA, CFE, etc.).
