Junior Test Automation Engineer

• Design and develop automation test framework for network devices
• Design and write test automation scripts
• Research, recommend and implement tools as needed with the goal of increasing automation
• Do manual testing when the project needed
• Collaborative with project team to understand project objectives, gather automation requirements, design automated tests, and troubleshoot issues
• Participate in project meetings (internal team and external team) to discuss and agree on automation test approach
• Investigating problems / issues in software as a result of testing
• Prepare file defect reports and report test progress

• BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
• Basic Programming in Python, C, Linux shell or equivalent
• Basic understanding of software fundamentals including software design, code modularity, and maintainability
• Have basic network knowledge (OSI, TCP/IP Layer)
• Documentation and writing skills
• Positive communication skills
• Willingness to work both writing test plan manually and writing test script
• Self-starter able to solve problems independently but also work as part of a team
Preferred:
• Testing certifications.
• Network certification like CCNA, CCNP or equivalent
• Have experience with Linux, git, and all of the standard UNIX command-line tools
• Basic knowledge of automation tools and testing frameworks
