We are expanding opportunities for potential candidates in IT Security Administrator (2 posts).

IT Security Administrator is responsible for the administration of the organization’s information and data security policies and practices to ensure authorized users can readily access information and that the information is protected in terms of confidentiality, integrity and availability. This includes developing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all new and existing network hardware, software, and communication links. This role is also responsible for telephone, data center, and other electronic infrastructure security.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Ensure that the IT environment has privacy, confidentiality, integrity, scalability and availability. Work well with team members, decision makers, and stakeholders to define business requirements and systems goals, and to identify and resolve network and systems issues.

* Implementing technical policies for user groups to adhere to. Administering groups and organizational units in the system to correspond to business units and teams requiring similar access levels. Auditing user access and activities from log files.
Handling account exceptions including lockouts, forgotten passwords, and setup and deactivation. Design and perform server and security audits, system backup procedures, and other recovery processes in accordance with the company’s disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.

* Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the Director IT security regarding pertinent network activities. Direct and administrate a contingent of network analysts and technicians. Provide guidance to junior members of the IT team.

* Manage Day-to-Day Vigilance and User Support. Monitoring application-specific access logs, looking for evidence of attempted penetration attacks, or working with developers to sanitize code designed to interface between data stores and public-facing services.

* Knowledge and experience:
- At least 2years proven experience with IT systems and network security principles, and general software management best practices.
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to conduct research into systems issues and products as required.
- Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
- Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Strong customer service orientation.
- Understanding of blade server infrastructure and virtual environments.
- Strong wireless networking experience.
- Detailed understanding on network posture, profiling and 802.1x technologies.
- Strong firewall configuration, analytical and reporting skills.
- Key understanding on IT security best practices, standards and frameworks.

* Formal education and qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree relating to IT networks, systems or IT Security.
- CISSP, Cisco Certified Network Professional Security (CCNP Security) or ITILv3, CompTIA Security+ or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) certifications are an advantage.
