IT Officer

JOB PURPOSE:
● This position is responsible to design, implement, and administer all school LAN and WAN networks which include products made by Microtik, Engenius, Microsoft, Apple, and various others. This position also supports and assists in all areas of computer hardware and software upgrades, maintenance, repairs, etc; and helps train and mentor department technicians in the future when the School expands its operation scope.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Assists in the daily activities of the School’s IT Office, including but not limited to, completing assigned tasks, and overseeing project completion.
● Responsible for domain management, computer usage, software licenses, and network security.
● Assists in planning, developing and coordinating the installation, updating, and administration of all computer services of the school(s).
● Assures proper operation of the LAN and WAN including core switch, network load balancer, engineered switches, routers, wireless devices and other related hardware, firmware, and software.
● Assists in troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining the School computers and networks.
● Assists in the planning for ISO image installation of software on computers and networks as needed.
● Assists with the maintenance of computers and hardware as needed.
● Assists with maintaining an accurate inventory and record of repairs on all computer equipment.
● Helps to develop and implement equipment and software security policies and procedures as needed.
● Advises the School Administrator Board on hardware and software purchases.
● Reviews vendor contracts and works closely with the Finance Dep. in IT purchase procedures (hardware, software, and services) to ensure effective deployment of solutions aligned with the School needs.
● Works closely with other staff in a positive fashion ensuring timely and clear communication.
● Communicates effectively regarding features or problems and required solutions.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
1. Qualifications:
● Bachelor's degree majored in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field;
● IT Certifications will be an advantage (e.g. CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional, CCNA, etc.)
2. Experience:
● Minimum 5 years of working as an IT Team Leader.
● Experience of working in foreign organizations, preferably from school/educational institutions.
3. Other requirements:
● English communication ability in both written and verbal manner
● Good understanding of online office productivity suites such as G Suite, Office 365, iWork, AWS Productivity will be a plus
● Good knowledge in Server Management, Network, Cloud Computing & System Analyst
● Mature, independent, able to lead a team
● Sound organizational and time management skills.
