MAJOR FUNCTION
Analyzes operations related areas of the business and data processing activities to design and optimize Warehouse Management System/Transportation management systems (WMS/TMS). Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems develop reports and write specifications, to improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow, and process limitations. Provides logistic support and assists in the initial implementation steps for various projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Acts as the liaison between business and IT at the tactical level; analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems.
- Acts as the owner of functionality and processes related to WFS & TMS system.
- Confers with personnel of organizational units involved to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems and learn specific input and output requirements, such as forms of data input, how data is to be summarized, and formats for reports
- Provides training of all aspects to users: how to use the software, how to configure it, how to look up data onto database level, how to develop reports, how to write simple specifications, etc
- Plans and prepares general reports, memos, and instructional manuals as documentation of program development
- Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required developing or modifying a WMS/TMS system. Develops reports and writes specifications for the system when needed
- Conducts studies relating to the development of WMS/TMS to meet current and projected needs

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- At least 1 year experience in BA
- BS degree in Computer Science or Industrial Engineering is preferred; Some education in Business and Operations Management is also preferred.
- Working experience in Operations departments (distribution, planning, inventory control, warehousing, delivery & transportations) is preferred.
- Working experience with Operations Software (ERP, WMS, TMS...) is preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:
- Demonstrated success in the development and delivery of information technology solutions.
- Proven track record of effectively delivering results in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Background in operations processes and methods
- Requires basic knowledge and skills in reporting tools, such as MySQL, R, Excel VBA…
- Experience with use case development, wireframe design, user interface design, screen mockups, and technical writing is desired
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong abilities of problem–solving and analytical skills
- Self–motivated, able to work with minimum direction
- Hands-on mindset
