IT Business Analyst

The role of the Savills Vietnam IT Business Analyst (BA) requires:

• Regular engagement with business users, internal IT delivery teams, and external vendors. These can be located in Vietnam and also in region. Therefore the BA needs to have excellent communication skills, for effective interaction with business teams and IT team members to ensure alignment of requirements, as well as to deliver high quality services to our businesses.
• The BA must be able to understand the business requirements and needs. During project initiation, the BA will be involved in developing a business case with supporting evidence including ROI calculations to enable effective decision making and prioritization. The BA should also be comfortable working with vendors, and complete as-is and to-be option gap analysis activities for solution review and decision making.
• The BA will need to use a variety of business analyst techniques during a project to elicit and understand requirements, perform gap analysis, review and document processes. The position requires strong analytical, communication and problem solving skills. The BA should be able to support users in requirements prioritisation and change management.
• The BA will need to be capable of understanding IT systems for ongoing improvements and upgrades, both in-house systems and also understanding solution products in the industry that will be rolled out.
• The BA in Vietnam must also be able to work independently, and be disciplined in providing updates and communication with the regional IT team for enhanced collaboration. The incumbent should be self-motivated, and delivery focused.

The BA will also support with solution delivery in Vietnam business, together with local IT and cross-functional IT teams, in a dynamic and fast paced environment. Therefore the role includes

• Engaging during the initiation phase and apply business analysis expertise to understand requirements, shape initial requests, provide high-level estimates of effort and cost through process analysis, and provide a risk/value review.
• The BA can perform project management activities to coordinate the delivery of IT solutions to deliver projects effectively. This includes:
o Support regional IT with delivery of projects to meet timelines and scope requirements.
o Raise risks and issues in timely manner and take action to mitigate where appropriate.
o Integrate quality practices in all aspects of technology delivery; audit work products to ensure quality and sustainability
o Maintain appropriate documentation, traceability and configurations; follow record retention policies

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance/Business Management or relevant disciplines.
• 5 years or more experience as a Business Analyst
• Knowledge in business process and IT application landscape
• Knowledge and experience partnering with both business teams and IT professionals
• Knowledge to build and manage IT- business relationship, facilitation, communication and analytical skills with demonstrated ability to work with large cross-functional teams
• Experience on enterprise application platforms (ERP, CRM, SaaS applications, and cloud services)
• Excellent knowledge on IT solutions, new technologies and understand technology trends
• Good mix of technical/IT consulting and business background.
• Positive, collaborative and solution-oriented attitude
• Strong English communication and inter-personal skills with ability to work effectively with regional teams, Mandarin & other Asian language is a plus
• Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to navigate technology and organizational issues to complete project tasks

Preferred
• Formal Business Analyst training with an IIBA recognized training institute, with goal of taking CCBA or CBAP certification exam
• Cross-cultural sensitivity and fully understand and adopt company's values and leadership model within daily operation
• Experience in sizeable multinational corporations with ability to manage multiple projects effectively
• Able to explain technical problems in simple layman terms and to work in a matrix environment with multiple business and IT groups
• Willing to meet challenges, hardworking & able to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
