ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT/TEAM
The British Council in Ho Chi Minh City, an integral part of the British Council in Vietnam, is an operation of 100+ staff with a main office and 3 teaching centres, with activities in all areas (teaching centre, examination services, programmes in arts and culture, education and society). There are major plans to build the scale of our engagement in the city, with a particular emphasis on expanding our teaching centre footprint.
The Business Support Services (BSS) function, which is a very dynamic team of the British Council in Ho Chi Minh City, provides high standard business support services to the Strategic Business Units (SBUs), in the area of facilities/ premises and administration management, human resources and IT services, in coordination with colleagues in its main office in Hanoi to ensure a consistent country approach to all internal practices and processes, as well as in connection with colleagues from Regional office and Hub service team.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING AND WHY
The post-holder will work at one of the British Council teaching centres in Ho Chi Minh City and play a key role in delivering IT services to the teaching centre, prioritising covering for the evening times and weekends, working closely with the IT Executive and IT team, technical vendors and BSS colleagues within the British Council in Vietnam to ensure the continuity in business operation and resolving IT issues to enhance the quality of IT services; and take apart in supporting TC strategy in expanding and serving more customers.
The post-holder will also be the key point of contact between TC and BSS colleagues at the main office regarding facilities/ premises issues occurring to ensure such issues are resolved timely and effectively to avoid business interruption to the teaching centre’s operation.

The ideal candidate should have:
- 1 to 2-year experience in relevant field
- Graduate in relevant field
- Good English skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing)
- Excellent Vietnamese skills

- Payband 3/J (From VND10,903,000 per month)
