Inventory Accountant

- Position : Inventory Accountant
- Reports To : General accountant & Financial Controller
- Responsibility : Record & prepare accounting transactions/reports from day-to-day business operations including inventory & logistic control, Sales order & invoice billing, costing and management accounting in order to control & manage company financial aspects following company policy/procedures & legal regulations.

1. Inventory accounting
• Entry & monitor inventory transactions
• Take part in monthly physical inventory count & reconcile inventory accounts to the general ledger/balance sheet.
• Perform landed cost calculations.
• Reconcile inventory accounts to the general ledger.
• Develop inventory analysis reports and analyzing variances.
• Coordinate with logistic supervisor to control ordering, PO & shipments arrived to manage inventory at optimal level of fast moving items for all brands vs sales plan/forecast
• Ensure compliance with internal control guidelines related to inventory management vs sales practice..
• Assist in the improvement in internal controls related to inventory & logistic management.

Parts management control
• Coordinate with CS dept to control and maintain optimal parts stock level/fast moving items.
• Control physical inventory count of parts inventories & do parts reconciliation to the general ledger/balance sheet.
• Develop inventory analysis reports and analyze variances.
• Assist in improvement of internal controls related to parts inventory management.

2. Sales order & invoice billing
• Update sales order of fitness & sports construction sales.
• Bill invoices for fitness, parts & services, construction sales.
• Update Gross margin reconciliation.
• Update VAT invoice monitor & do revenue reconciliation.

3. Other financial tasks:
• Daily check & update petty cash payment/receipts & input to accounting system.
• Communicate and cooperate with other finance team members for month-end close to ensure income and expenses are properly recorded in accordance with accounting standards.
• Check the accounting entries, prepare month-end account reconciliations following legal regulations and management requirements.
• Coordinate with auditors.
• Ad-hoc accounting assignments

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge:
• Good knowledge of standard accounting practices, local regulations and Taxes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Economics.
• Fairly good verbal and written communication skills in English (at least level B)

Skills:
• Strong experience of inventory accounting in a trading bussiness is preferred.
• Analytical and problem solving skills with systematic working approach.
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Data entry management, general math & reporting skills.
• Result/deadline-oriented attitude; confidentiality, time management.
• Good organizational skill and able to work under high pressure.
• Reliable, responsible, hard-working, enthusiastic.
