Role of the Operations and IT tools intern
The intern will be under the supervision of the COO and will work in with all other departments: sales & marketing, engineer & water quality and finance. The role of the intern will be to understand the IT reporting tool used in Cambodia, build a new architecture for it in Vietnam, and to ensure its development and implementation in a smooth and effective way. The IT reporting tool is operated through CommCare app and is critical for O-We to follow the operational performance and water quality of its franchisees.
Main missions
1°) Review existing system in place at O-We Cambodia
• Understand the operational process, IT tools and analytical reports in place in Cambodia
• Review existing documentation and understand architecture of the CommCare app in Cambodia
• Interview the Cambodia IT and operational teams to understand their daily use of CommCare
2°) Build the architecture of the CommCare app for Vietnam
• Coordinate meetings with all O-We Vietnam team members to understand their needs
• Define the main adaptation points vs the Cambodian version
• Agree with the CEO and team on a new architecture of the app
3°) Coordinate the development and implementation
• Agree on a general calendar and key milestone with Vietnam CEO and Cambodia IT team
• Coordinate the development of the CommCare app for Vietnam (done by Cambodia IT team)
• Ensure the launch of the app in Vietnam
4°) Follow-up and build trainings
• Live-test the app on the first O-We franchisees and define with the COO the operational process
• Follow-up after app launch with bug / problems fixing
• Build basic trainings for people using CommCare both O-We team and O-We franchisees

Professional qualifications
• Minimum one successful experience working in a professional environment
• Experience in HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP and MYSQL.
• Experience in Google App Engine and in using API and Json.
• Very comfortable with managing planning and short deadlines
• Good understanding and knowledge on IT tools and app development
• Experience working in South Vietnam and preferably in the Mekong Delta region
Required competencies
• Can-do attitude, feels excited with a blank page of paper and a large room to maneuver
• Very strong interpersonal skills and easiness to interact with other people
• A capacity to interact with various kind of people with different social and education backgrounds
• Process driven mindset feeling happy to structure and formalize practices for higher efficiency
• Actively demonstrate a match with O-We values (family, persistent, field-driven, accountable, fun)
