Internship Program: The Modern Engineer

WE’RE RECRUITING:

10 Software Development Interns, to be trained in one of the following technologies
- Backend: NodeJS or Java (2-4)
- Frontend: ReactJS (2-4)
- Mobile: React Native (2-4)

10 QC Interns, to be trained in one of the following technologies
- Automation Testing (7)
- Manual Testing (3)

You are not required to have a lot of knowledge of NodeJS/Java/ReactJS/React Native or Testing as we will have a series of training courses for the area you applied for in accordance with the assignment, one-on-one coaching and on-the-job training to help you prepare for working on real projects after the training phase.

2020 PYCO Internship Program: THE MODERN ENGINEER
*Duration: 2-3 months (Monday to Friday, 9AM - 6PM, possibility to take time off when you have classes at your university)
*Estimated starting time: beginning of March, 2020

I. WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU:

2. Training and Coaching:

*Software Development Interns: 2 months of training (consists of classroom training and then completing a realistic project under the supervision of an expert coach).
Practical training in:
+ Agile methodology
+ A deep-dive and pragmatic approach into basic concepts of software development related to architecture, design and code levels
+ Modern DevOps practices
+ State-of-the-art technologies covering various development profiles, from Backend (with NodeJS or Java) to Frontend (with ReactJS) and hybrid development on Mobile (with React Native).

*QC Interns: A comprehensive 3-month training period (4-6 weeks of classroom training and on-the-job training on a real project)
Practical training in:
+ Agile methodology
+ Requirement engineering
+ Development process
+ State-of-the-art and full-stack quality control best practices
+ Interns will learn the best and most efficient ways to always deliver high quality products in accordance with client expectations. While continuously improving and evolutionizing their workflows

More than that, all interns will receive:
+ Important soft skills and English training for the modern working environment and collaboration
+ Real-world assignment for practicing technologies/techniques you have learned
+ Personal coaching for your career path by our expert mentors

II. REQUIREMENTS:

*General requirements:
+ Have a foundation in: OOP; data structures and algorithms; databases such as SQL, MySQL, etc.
+ Knowledge in any of the following areas is a plus: Web design; Web-services; APIs; Web & Mobile applications
+ Love working in a professional Agile/Scrum development environment
+ Proactive, responsible, and self-motivated with the ability to learn and achieve superior results
+ Commitment to working at PYCOGroup at least 12 months after the internship period

*For Software Development Interns:
+ Interested in learning and having an entry into the software industry in 1 of these areas: NodeJS, Java, ReactJS, React Native
+ Ability to code in at least 1 common programming language (for example: Java/.NET/JavaScript/Python/C/C++/C#/PHP, etc.)
+ Love writing structured, well-documented and maintainable code
+ Knowledge in any of the following areas is a plus: code review, continuous integration, continuous delivery with GitHub or CircleCI
+ Good problem-solving, logical and analytical skills

*For QC Interns:
+ Ability to code in at least 1 common programming language (for example: Java/.NET/JavaScript/Python/C/C++/C#/PHP, etc.)
+ Good English skills (at least intermediate level)
+ Basic knowledge of software testing is a plus
+ Patient, detail-oriented, quality-oriented
+ Good communication skills
