International Teachers (Elementary & Secondary)

SNA was established in 2005 and is unique among internationals schools in Vietnam in that it offers a dual curriculum---instructing students in a Vietnamese program directed by the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training in tandem with the American program aligned with the State of California Content Standards and Educational Frameworks. SNA conforms to the guidelines of both programs and awards diplomas which serve as the foundation for those students who desire to pursue their studies at prominent universities in Vietnam, the United States or around the World.

SNA is exceptionally proud and confident that the innovative programs and effective teaching methods utilized by the Vietnamese and American program teachers and staff will provide a variety of educational opportunities for it students. Both programs are designed to enhance student creativity and potential while sustaining the reverence of the Vietnamese values and culture. Commencing this school year, SNA will be introducing the International Baccalaureate Program into its daily instructional programming.

Job Description:

The teaching positions will consist of full-time assignments teaching either the American Program or the International Baccalaureate Program to students in grades K-12.

Qualifications:

Minimum GPA of 3.0 for Bachelor’s Degree and/or 3.5 for Master’s Degree
Current teacher certification and/or license that would allow the candidate to teach in public schools
Valid passport
Current police clearance to enter Vietnam

Communicate and collaborate on a weekly basis with fellow team members for planning, assessment, parent contact and classroom issues including discipline, expectations and routines;
Take an active and positive role in student behavior management;
Attend and constructively contribute in regular staff meetings;
Assist in the supervision of student breaks, when required;
Coordinate class activities, as deemed necessary;
Maintain up-to-date records of assessment, attendance, planning, reports, conferences and communications with parents.
Act as a resource and support for new staff members (i.e. curriculum, schedules, procedures, etc.
