International Freight Service (IFS) - Supervisor

Operations (70% - 80%)
• Conduct periodic meetings with customer service representatives to ensure compliance with customers’ standards and requirements.
• Supervise, monitor and guide customer service representatives to comply with customers and vendors’ requirements
• Execute established processes and audit measures to support and meet customers’ requirements at agreed level.
• Liaise with other functional/departmental managers so as to understand all necessary aspects and needs of operational development and to ensure they are fully informed of customer services objectives, purposes and achievements.
• Execute and adhere to customers’ service requirements from LPs/FAPs to Bookings, Cargo movement, Data Transmission, Invoicing, Documents dispatches.
• Problem Resolution – ensure issues are tackled immediately and escalate to Manager when there are potential costs impact
• Ensure periodic variances explanations are provided in timely and accurate manner.
• Streamline processes to achieve cost savings and ensure profitability
• Deploy resources amongst departments to ensure sufficient resources are allocated to manage changes in volumes and increasing demands of key accounts.
• Continuously intensify relationship in order to maintain and protect customers.
• Periodically review costs and revenue, conduct benchmarking exercises and ensure APLL continues to be competitive in the market place.
• Continuously identify and train a team of CSR to meet the demands of key accounts in a professional manner.
• Conduct periodic reviews and training to customer service representatives.
• Ensure management reports are timely and accurate
Commercial (20% - 30%)
• Develop and leverage constructive relationship with key accounts, penetrate deeper to decision makers to strengthen business network.
• Continuous review business potential and identify potential business opportunity.
• Conduct research meetings with the customers and leverage business network to understand the customer's organization, requirements and business objectives
• Present solution proposal and business fit to decision makers, engage in negotiations and close the deal
• Execute established IFS, Customs, Trucking pricing processes and build database to to support procurement to meet customers’ requirements at agreed level
• Leading team of CSR on Vendor Log Program (Virtual Sales Team)
• Continuous develop Vendor Log program product menu (trucking, customs, storage, freight)

• Familiar with export ocean/air processes / custom
• Provider engagement (ocean/air/customs/trucking)
• Cross-function engagement
• People management
• Dashboard reporting
• Understands the MNC environment (eg multiple systems, numerous policies, compliance etc)
