THE ROLE
Reporting directly to the Head of Communications Vietnam, the Internal Communications Coordinator will support the delivery of the University’s communications to employees in Vietnam. This position will work closely with the Internal Communications Advisor to deliver and measure impactful internal communications that contributes to the overall RMIT strategy. The Internal Communications Advisor is the lead of all internal communications at RMIT Vietnam, supported by the Internal Communications Coordinator who delivers and executes the content across channels, and leads reporting.
The position will require engagement across the University, well planned and written creative content and visuals, advising stakeholders on content creation and communications counsel, coordinating delivery across multiple channels and reporting for stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Stakeholder Management
Develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with professional and academic stakeholders in the University across Vietnam campuses and with Melbourne.
Support the Internal Communications Advisor in delivering communications campaigns that align with the Internal Communications Strategy
Build regular reports to check success against metrics for all channels, including staff feedback, and look for continuous improvements throughout the cycle.
Communications Development and Delivery
Develop creative content for communication campaigns, messages, stories, slide packs, cheat sheets, Q&A, speeches etc in a timely manner, of high quality and to stakeholder expectations.
Design internal communication campaigns together with the Internal Communications Advisor both locally and globally.
Own the successful delivery / execution of content across multiple channels, ensuring communications are aligned with the University’s key messages and branding, and follow best practices.
Create, edit and test communication content before it’s approved to ensure strategic prioritisation of messages within the corporate framework.
Provide advice to the Internal Communications Advisor and the Head of Communications regarding employee issues and opportunities for communications outcomes and solutions.
Work collaboratively with colleagues in Hanoi as well as colleagues across external communications, social media, production and student comms to ensure a shared outcome. Build and maintain working relationships with key stakeholders and colleagues across all Schools and Divisions.
Channel ownership
Be the channel owner for executing all existing internal communications channels (including development of content and graphics) and continually monitor/report to look for improvements to the employee experience across all campuses (based on data).
This includes Staff Update, Yammer, Leader Life at RMIT Vietnam, Chairman Wrap, and the staff intranet.
Use data and insights to inform future content and look for opportunities for channel improvement in line with best practice globally.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
A tertiary qualification in professional communication, public relations, corporate communication.
At least two years of experience working in a communications environment, with a background in coordinating and delivering communications projects and campaigns
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, in English and (an advantage) in Vietnamese, being able to tell compelling stories and communicate with employees. Must have sound professional writing and editing skills and a keen eye for detail.
Strong organisational and planning skills, along with good stakeholder management and relationship building skills.
Ability to collect, analyse and synthesise information into context and deliver solutions.
A good team player with ability to work effectively in teams or autonomously.

RMIT Vietnam will require you to complete a Linguaskill test to assess your level of English before an offer of employment can be made.
